Some German generals who were smart and wanted to win the war proposed terror bombing of British civilians, however, other Germans, including Hitler, saw this as absolutely reprehensible. No, what I wrote was that there is another film in this series, made at the same time, by the US War Department, which describes the Soviet efforts to defeat the Nazis during the war. That film praises the Soviet Union. whereas just a few years later -- as the Cold War began -- the US government was demonizing the Soviet Union. The contrast is remarkable.

Some German generals who were smart and wanted to win the war proposed terror bombing of British civilians, however, other Germans, including Hitler, saw this as absolutely reprehensible. And btw, it was the Soviets who won the war. Without them, the war would have been the most one-sided in history for the Axis.

In stead of an imaginer point system, that was forced upon us, what is called money. One of the films in this same series of films -- by the same director and writers, funded by the United States War Department -- is about Soviet efforts during World War 2. If you are unaware of the sacrifices of the peoples of the Soviet Union in defeating fascism (more than 30X the casualties of the western allies) your knowledge of history is seriously impoverished.

No, what I wrote was that there is another film in this series, made at the same time, by the US War Department, which describes the Soviet efforts to defeat the Nazis during the war. That film praises the Soviet Union. whereas just a few years later -- as the Cold War began -- the US government was demonizing the Soviet Union. The contrast is remarkable.

as soon as it said produced by the "War department Army pictorial Service" I was forced to pause it. That's in essence a disclaimer that might as well say what it truly means "You are being lied to for the next hour and 6 minutes."

It was to give people a reason to love America.
