  • hes shakin it all wrong

  • ahaa

  • LOL !

  • haha what type of stick bug is this?

  • lmfao hahahahahaha so funny and cute

  • haha wicked!! doing what they do best =D

  • lol thats what mine do... but they are actually prettending to be sticks. because they are stick insects.

  • which side is the head?

  • @Magikjimmey the top side is the head, the larger part of him is the bottom

  • it moves b/c it doesnt have good depth perseption to it moves back and forth to judge it better

  • spiny stick insect?I used to have two, but died so we got the normal ones and ended up getting eggs in the tank so we ended up with like, fifty.

  • this is the first time I ever thought an insect could be cute O.o

  • Like some leaf and flower Mantids certain stick & leaf insects like this Exatosoma nymph walk with a swaying gait to imitate a leaf being blown by the wind - which is what you see in its movements here. It's completely normal and natural for these creatures to move this way - as a self defense/camouflage mechanism they do not walk with smooth strides.

  • cmon let me see you shake your tail feather.......wait.... LOL awesome vid!

  • ugly fucking bug. were can I fin one

  • Shake shake!

  • in my head i'm playing the old six flags theme.

  • looks kinda like a 6 legged lizard, its ass being the head :P

  • THATS COOL!!!! LOVE IT

  • @grow2b haha well done.

Its just a 30 second clip repeated over and over again if you haven't worked that out, there was also -no- music playing while the video clip was recorded.

    So, please explain? :)

  • FAIL

  • @grow2b

    take it easy

its a goddamn insect it doesnt give a shit

  • @grow2b Wow, way to show your ignorance of stick insects. They sway like that to make themselves look like dead leaves blowing in the wind hoping predators will leave them alone.

  • @grow2b They wiggle like this all the time... not sure why exactly. But then again, what could an insect waste its time on? Eating, sleeping, laying eggs and dancing for no apparent reason is pretty much all they do.

  • @grow2b the reply youve already recieved explains alot, but also, they are evolved to do that in that stance so telling us to do it proves nothing.

  • @grow2b I have to agree there. They will wiggle like that alot if they're scared. Stupidity at it's best here.

  • @grow2b Lol you fail so hard its funny.

  • @grow2b Dude You ever heard of editing? What a jackass

  • @grow2b oh and ps. it all SIX

  • @grow2b u fucking idiot lmao

  • i like Stick bugs the best

  • hahaha,stupid little stick insect:D

  • lol! it has a face on it''s tail :)

  • ¬w¬ cutee

  • ummmmm.........okay

  • wow!

  • he movies to imitate wind blowing on stick

  • they are not dancing actually they are pretending movement af a leaf in wind

  • I just bought some eggs of this species!! =D I can't wait for them to hatch =3

    That bug is soooooo cute!!

  • eww fucking weirdo o_o

  • what song was i

    t

  • @lightsaberboy08 C&C MUSIC FACTORY - EVERYBODY DANCE NOW

  • yeah some of my friends have a stick bug and it does the same thing

  • I have 2 of those cuties (:

  • Oh and this is a she, the males are a lot thinner

  • This specy is extatosoma tiaratum, also called macleays spectre stick insect. They can grow up to 15 cm (an adult hand). He "dances" Because he pretends to be a stick in the wind, so that in the wild he wont take notice. Mine always climbs on the computer screen as well. Probably because of the light and the temperature. Have any questions contact me I have one of these

  • gudd thing thous things are harmless

  • nice i want one lol ^^

  • very nice

  • i placed my 3-4 week old female on the screen, and she started to dance precisely like the one in the video. it was so hilarious!

  • at 6:00 it looks like im on drugs.

  • Sadly, mine doesnt dance like this.

Although, when i showed this video to her, she started swaying.

    LOL.

    i was like, OMG!

  • place it in front of a fan.

  • made me laught great

  • LOL I LAUGHED SOO HARD

  • I Love at the begining how it goes with the music.

    LOL.

    Im buying one tomorrow

    LOVE IT

  • Are these things dangerous?

  • not at all, but an adult female can squeeze a bit hard, it's stingy.

  • mine can do this all day..

  • funny

  • lol

  • its preteding to go with the wind

  • its signaling aliens from another world to invade earth!! run!

  • stick insects do this as mating call, to try and warn off preditors, to simulate wind as part of their camoflage. there are many reasons for doing this, but it is normal.

my stickinsects do it and its bloody haleriouse!

  • Pretty darn awesome. What do these guys eat? Are they easy to care for? Well, anyway, love the music.

  • i don't specifically know about this one, but most of the stick insects eat leaves...pretty ironic cuz alot of them look like stems and thin branches :D. And yes, they are easy to care for, most of them are harmless (if not all), but it might be hard to get them, based on where you live and how common they are there ^^. Leaf insect are a bit easier to care for...but that's not part of the question :P

  • they eat bramble oak privet or eucalyptus, they are easy to care for as they live well at room temperature and they do coinsidently eat commom bushes/tree's

  • the pretty mutch eat black berry leaves at least thats what i give mine!

  • it only does that when its scared

my indian labrotory stick insects do it aswell its funny

  • my stick insect swings side to side tapping its legs like that its fun to wach

it does it because it acts like a twig blowing in the wind did you use a fane or blow it or someting it did it for quite a long time

  • yea thats what mine do its really cute

  • ive got that same species but my all my males died after mating then a female finshed laying eggs and died and this morning my lasdt female died presumaly exhaustion from egg laying

  • How could you possibly make this video almost 7 minutes long?!?!?! It's over in 20 seconds! Goodness gracious!

  • lol, but at 3:36 there is a slight variation in the way it sways

  • yaaaaaaaaaay

  • my insect dances like that there such cool animals!

  • the most entertaining thing in the world

  • check out our insect dance

    radbros.

  • Nice one , Ill post a link on the bug forum , im sure a few others will find it very interesting ...Nige

  • Do they really dance?

  • yes. I have 3 indian stick insects and all of them occasionally sway from side to side tapping their feet

  • This species is very well known for dancing almost constantly. Every time I walk in the room mine all start dancing around. At cage cleaning time, it's a dance-a-thon.

  • night feever night feever...

    wiggle wiggle :P

  • i <3 dancing sticks they rock! i no its an insect but it is still pretty awesome!

  • It looks some kind of animated, but still nice idea.

My brother calls it "raggling" when they are dancing like this^^

  • HAHAHABHAAA I LOVE YOUR STICK BUG!

I used to have about 80 of them! They all danced like that! They pwn all other bugs cause they clone themselves and grow their missing limbs back!
