Hi my name is Brian, I live in USA. Are you willing to ship me some bugs if I pay you?
I can offer you mantis species:
Idolomantis Diabolica oothecae
Dead Leaf - D. Lobata oothecae
I am interested in jungle nymphs, phyllium giganteum, horse head grass hopping stick bugs, locusts, and Orchid mantis. please let me know if you are willing to do some business please? thanks!
Like some leaf and flower Mantids certain stick & leaf insects like this Exatosoma nymph walk with a swaying gait to imitate a leaf being blown by the wind - which is what you see in its movements here. It's completely normal and natural for these creatures to move this way - as a self defense/camouflage mechanism they do not walk with smooth strides.

you are probably blasting the music to a ridiculous level and it is responding to the sound wave as it hits it. you made this poor insect waste 6:48 minutes of its life to do this stupid shit. hey, why don't you get on your all stupid fours and wiggle like that for 6:48 minutes and see how your joints hold up. stupidity is what you do and you do it well.
Its just a 30 second clip repeated over and over again if you haven't worked that out, there was also -no- music playing while the video clip was recorded.
@grow2b Wow, way to show your ignorance of stick insects. They sway like that to make themselves look like dead leaves blowing in the wind hoping predators will leave them alone.
@grow2b They wiggle like this all the time... not sure why exactly. But then again, what could an insect waste its time on? Eating, sleeping, laying eggs and dancing for no apparent reason is pretty much all they do.
This specy is extatosoma tiaratum, also called macleays spectre stick insect. They can grow up to 15 cm (an adult hand). He "dances" Because he pretends to be a stick in the wind, so that in the wild he wont take notice. Mine always climbs on the computer screen as well. Probably because of the light and the temperature. Have any questions contact me I have one of these
stick insects do this as mating call, to try and warn off preditors, to simulate wind as part of their camoflage. there are many reasons for doing this, but it is normal.
i don't specifically know about this one, but most of the stick insects eat leaves...pretty ironic cuz alot of them look like stems and thin branches :D. And yes, they are easy to care for, most of them are harmless (if not all), but it might be hard to get them, based on where you live and how common they are there ^^. Leaf insect are a bit easier to care for...but that's not part of the question :P
they eat bramble oak privet or eucalyptus, they are easy to care for as they live well at room temperature and they do coinsidently eat commom bushes/tree's
ive got that same species but my all my males died after mating then a female finshed laying eggs and died and this morning my lasdt female died presumaly exhaustion from egg laying
This species is very well known for dancing almost constantly. Every time I walk in the room mine all start dancing around. At cage cleaning time, it's a dance-a-thon.
Lush dude that is sooo kwl i got da sm e stick insect as you but its called brandi its girl my boy friend has a stick insect and its boi called rich and we let them mate so my stick insect brany has 40 kids and moreon the way

@grow2b the reply youve already recieved explains alot, but also, they are evolved to do that in that stance so telling us to do it proves nothing.

@grow2b I have to agree there. They will wiggle like that alot if they're scared. Stupidity at it's best here.
