  • A bit of an ineffective quick fix. Look into the Cam Caddie Scorpion a much more reliable and affordable camera stabilizer that's helped me capture many very smooth shots in the past year.

  • @FrankensteinsTV Yeah this video was made more than 3 years ago, and there are many more Merlin and Glidecam products out there now. Much of the effectiveness of the device is based on the operator's skills in maneuvering in such a way to minimize shake, but we were just testing out some designs we found online. If you'd like, check out my video and instructable on how to build a snorricam.

  • thanks brotha! good job...tomorrow I build it!

  • how much does each ankle weight weigh?

  • @mrsmoke360 Each ankle weight weighs about 2 pounds each.

  • good job. What that guy said about a Gimbal could be right, so i was thinking of an inexpensive way to get one, I found a type of bearing called an Igubal Rod End Bearing. Only $9. Google it, buy one, and test it out, I'd love to see it work.

  • The shoks "up and down" is cancelled, "unfortunatly" for cancelled "left and right" shoks..the steadicam have need of the gimbal

  • Yeah, thats the only thing that could be better. For $15, its pretty a pretty good value.
