Rick Hearst as Alan-Michael was awesome! I miss those days alot. He was excellent but is so often overshadowed by Michael Zaslow and Beverlee McKinsey in people's memories.
But the other thing is the sheer bulk of quality actors/performances on GL during this time period (1988-1994 especially). Nancy Curlee was GREAT at juggling a truly ENSEMBLE cast, and the actors all shone in their roles....they had such "presence" that you felt like they were on-screen more than they really were....
I loved Sherry Stringfield on here, and Zaslow and McKinsey were dynamite!!! I loved Kim Simms, Jay Hammer, Grant Aleksander, Jordan Clarke, Maeve Kinkeade, Ellen Parker, Peter Simon, Jerry ver Dorn, Maureen Garrett, Monti Sharp, Melina Kankaredes, Morgan Englund, and so many more!
GL in the late 80's and early 90's was much more "mature" than all the other shows.
I wish A-M & Harley had gotten back together. They were great & there is a reason they ended up marrying each other's siblings. Watched the whole episode & still don't remember what Mallet is up to. Marrying Roger would have been a disaster anyway Mindy just be glad you got out when you did. The whole thing was yucky. Mindy is actually younger than his children.
@Robansuefarm.... Mallet was using trickery to get alone with Franchescha as that was the timeframe when her father (the mobster) was threatening his life and forced her to marry someone other than Mallet. This is about 4 months before Mallet started teaching Harley at the Police Academy.
@brui4ns1 OHHHHH, OK I remember now. Thanks for the reminder. I wish we could start w/ Hope & Alan on the island & watch it all again episode by episode. Thanks!
