Ok I can see your point of view as I have both xbox 360 and a PC. Most PC Games now allow the use of a controller, X360 or PS3 whichever you prefer, and if you have 2 controllers, The price it costs you to pay for xbox live for 3 years is around the same price that I can get a graphics card that will still work in 5 years time. PC Gamers are much nicer than xbox gamers and better at gaming to. Despite this, its just about what u prefer. its not which is better :) btw he said it was his opinion

Mouse actually is more accurate because on analog stick there is a slight tension jolt which causes intervals of stiff movement rather than precise scroll, plus mouses are laser guided and spread over a larger area. Kind of like using a pin to point out a city on a map rather than using ia big blunt object

as somebody who was raised and grew up playing on consoles, with hundreds of hours in console shooters, i can safely say that aiming with a mouse is far, FAR superior to a controller. some games, like racing games or action adventure are better suited to an analog stick, but shooters are not one of them.

I'll try to explain it so everyone can following...
Console = ONLY gaming with ugly graphics (nothing else)
PC = playing games with stunning graphics and you can make your own games (and there is so much more you can do with)
You can indeed emulate all consoles with one pc and play all your games over one pc - which console can do such things? You have to search every console+every cable+every adapter+every joystick/gamepad+every single game in the basement and have to plug it in the tv.
It's almost like PC gamers only like current PCs. That's probably why PCs are designed to be partially or entirely disposable after use (aka upgradeable).
I never could get into that mindset (out with the old, in with the new) which explains why I'm more of a console gamer than a PC gamer.
And lol @ "Macs can run PC's". 1) it's not "Mac's can run PC's" it's "Macs can run Windows".. PC is personal computer.. it's not interchangeable with the term Windows, and 2) any PC can run any OS.. I have Linux, the Mac OSX, and Windows 7 all on my PC... so that point is completely moot.

Ok I can see your point of view as I have both xbox 360 and a PC. Most PC Games now allow the use of a controller, X360 or PS3 whichever you prefer, and if you have 2 controllers, The price it costs you to pay for xbox live for 3 years is around the same price that I can get a graphics card that will still work in 5 years time. PC Gamers are much nicer than xbox gamers and better at gaming to. Despite this, its just about what u prefer. its not which is better :) btw he said it was his opinion

Mouse actually is more accurate because on analog stick there is a slight tension jolt which causes intervals of stiff movement rather than precise scroll, plus mouses are laser guided and spread over a larger area. Kind of like using a pin to point out a city on a map rather than using ia big blunt object

as somebody who was raised and grew up playing on consoles, with hundreds of hours in console shooters, i can safely say that aiming with a mouse is far, FAR superior to a controller. some games, like racing games or action adventure are better suited to an analog stick, but shooters are not one of them.

@dustpal youre forgetting steam sales. any new game at a game stop or something is 65 USD on release, whereas on steam, that same title will be 50. not to mention you can get games like deadspace that sell for $20 in stores for $5 on steam.
also, remember that youre buying TODAYS new hardware with that 1000, not 2005's midrange stuff. remember how much the ps3 was when it first came out?
and that 1000 is for a high end machine. you can max stuff out with a $500 build.

If you have a good enough computer, your games can look like the way sex feels. Yeah, I just went there. On the Xbox Fallout New Vegas has tons of settings to reduce the graphical layout. Yet on the PC you can change that yourself. Games like that were meant to be played on a PC.

I've seen Crysis run on a Computer made in 1999, all he did was upgrade the hard drive, ram (which is what you do on non-gaming pcs) and his video card and power supply. I just bough a PCIe Version of that card for $50.

Console = ONLY gaming with ugly graphics (nothing else)
PC = playing games with stunning graphics and you can make your own games (and there is so much more you can do with)
You can indeed emulate all consoles with one pc and play all your games over one pc - which console can do such things? You have to search every console+every cable+every adapter+every joystick/gamepad+every single game in the basement and have to plug it in the tv.

I am a CoD gamer and CoD4 for PC is shit. Everyone tryhards like a bitch and I can't get into a modded sniper lobby because punkbuster kicks me out (I have it installed for CoD4 too)
CoD5 was decent, but again, I can't get into good servers because of stupid ass punk buster. But currently CoD5 doesn't even work anymore. Some games are better for PC (i.e Mincraft) and some are better for console (FPS)
And the only reason games look better on PC is because they cost like $500 more.
