Thanks Daniel and co. for this work, I've really enjoyed. By the way, I don't want to reply directly to some of the comments, but in general it's sad to find that there is some guys who try to hide they lack of sensibility and own thoughts behind easy criticism.
I dont see how this could ever have been influenced by the Pellerano-Archer piece. The "pact with prostitution" film reads as a childish music video for some Cleopatra band. It is showing the viewer what s/he could have easily pictured in his mind and not much more. This video in contrast seems to make an attempt to interpret Les Chants and is quite beautifully done.

this film seems to steal the aesthetic (test and sounds) from the pellerano/archer maldoror. the people that made this must have known they were ripping it off. i guess the idea is different from the other maldoror, but it would be better work if they just made their own vision.
Well.. I've done the music. And I only can tell you I haven't ripped it off! I know other works, from other composers who also sound similar... that doesn't mean they ripped it off form the film (because they composed such things like 10 years ago)... Sometimes synthesizer sound can be very similar... It is not my fault if we used the same or a similar piece of software/synthesizer.!
This video is a blatant copy of the Pellerano-Archer Maldoror film. The music, the typeface, the pacing and general aesthetic were all stolen. The filmmakers will be informed presently of this infraction.
I was present through all the conception of this work (image and music) and I can assure that we never saw the Pellerano-Archer work; we saw Pellerano's Maldoror: a pact with Prostitution and it doesn't look like. We didn't steal anything. Anyway I'd really like to see Pellerano-Archer's film to compare and share arguments. If you know where I can find it let me know.
If I'm not wrong, the Pellerano-Archer film Maloror-Prostitution is the same film you are talking about ashbuchanan777! honestly I can't see the 'blatant copy'. Our film is the encounter of someone with his inner darkness; Pellerano's film in based on interaction with the outter world (landscape,girl-eroticism,texts, star-symbols), the technics used are not alike (camera movements, lightening, timming), and an old-fashion-film style.
first of all, this doesn't intends to be a film. Is a demo for an installation on a museum for 3 screens. Second, I and my cousin were the ones who made the music, at the beginning with instrumental sounds (Pellerano movie is only electronic) and if you mean they are the same because the music is electronic made... then you have to hear a lot of electronic music to hear the great differences! and no we weren't inspired by another movie.. only from the book.
First, learn to talk about movies(and art in general):"i think/My humble opinion is". Second, moderate your langage when you send a comment to other members, like filmmakers and artists:"blatant copy/all stolen/infraction" are heavy words, inappropriates.
I know "Pact with prostitution" and i like it.
Everyone can understand that pellerano-archer are motivated by a great love and devotion for Ducasse, exactly like us.
I still cant help wide openning my mouth along with the scene. Rukano, we should make a link to the credits, all the people who worked in deserve it!!. I've had good comments from people who know the Maldoror book atmosphere...
The original version is not much longer, but I should be projected in 3 walls/canvas, in a dark room with good speaker so you can hear good the music. This is only a preview where the 3 screens are shrinked to a TV screen.
very boring.

I like this. Love the music, Maldoror is great. Everything so haunting, visceral, tense, and ominous.
