The last bait was genius. He fireballed to turn up the intensity and made Mago lose his patience to finish the game...jumped just enough to back dash... jesus Daigo with pure win mind games.
I have nothing but respect for Kindevu. He's the only japanese pro I know who uses more than one character competitively. His Viper is a beast. Always evolving. He does look like a toad though, if you ever saw him.
@ushiwakamaru30 absolutely, i'm a huge rushdown fan and a viper player so i follow kindevu and uryo a lot, didn't even know about his rufus until a few months ago. he's pretty amazing to watch play, especially considering he has two different characters in the top20(used to be anyway) for BP
@IceDrake1337 Actually, I've always known him as a Rufus player. He recently teamed up with some other pro Rufus mainer (Nike I think) in a 3vs3 tourney and to make the team diverse, he went with Viper instead of Rufus. He's quite impressive. And like I said, very few japanese pros ever main more than one character. I mean, I'd love to see Umehara pick Dictator in a pro tourney, or Mago pick Sim. That'd be interesting.
@PAPAA1212 I think drowsypanda is referring to the missed FADC > Ultra , which Daigo almost never misses. I've seen Valle miss it a few times during really important moments (most notably at West Coast Warzone, which was painful :[ )
Too bad hes still a powerhouse in SSF4, he will always be. It will just take him longer, and he will have more risk because of his lower health and less dmg. Hes still going to be Top tier, hell he might still remain S tier. And i dont see that as a bad thing.
@P1tchBlack I'm pretty sure S tier will be going to dudley: tank damage, tank defense etc. And I'm not saying Sagat won't be powerful, but just look at this match! Just how close does Daigo have to cut it just to get in and capture a win? It just doesn't make sense giving Sagat all these unneccessary advantages. I'd rather face an S tier in SSF4, then a SF4 god tier.
