@JeremyWood75 THANK YOU for saying that as I was going to say the exact same thing! His incessant use of "like" was so distracting that I don't think I remember anything he said.
This was actually a good vid. I slaughter over 1,000 animals per year (not counting wild game such as deer, antelope, ect). It is a video that is like a motivational video to get ppl interested, its not like a technical video for instruction. I will say this: if he is paying $1,000 for a whole hog, I will provide you a hog anywhere, anytime...wow....thats about 5x too high. If you want to see a butchering vid, check out my page.
Be mindful of what you eat and where it came from, and the work that was done (by yourself, the various handlers and the animal itself) to get it on your plate.
Chew thoughtfully once in a while.
With these things in mind I have a clear conscience when I cook and I can enjoy the effort I put into making meat dishes.
This toolbag keeps saying, "I cut my finger, i even cut my finger, i have never cut my finger so much", like we are supposed to feel sorry for him. I bet the pig, for instance, feels realllly sorry for him....
Yes, and that living creature's sacrifice I honor by layering him in ketchup. By the way, I'm assuming you're a vegetarian, so you do realize plants are living organisms as well? If you're trying to say that killing another for subsistence is wrong, then I demand you try living on non-living foodstuffs (read: dirt) and see how that works for you.
Animals are food. Delicious food, I'll add. I've probably eaten more animals then I can imagine in my lifetime. I don't know what I'd do without them.
It's better than eating your food and never realized where it comes from. People will think more about what they eat if they try they try to cut their own meat.
Why does it always seem like the best advice is always a day away? I just butchered a pig an hour ago, it was awful, if I had only seen this video a little earlier. Oh well I've got a bunch of other pigs left...

Modern butchers today use bandsaws...and don't put stress on their hands or cut their fingers...and it's a lot quicker.

Totally not Kosher, nor is it vegan

With all due respect, a pig is a non kosher animal. If anyone doesn't like to eat that stuff . Understand theres a very good reason for it.

Eat to live, don't live to eat.

Butchery should be done this way.

Butchery shouldn't even have to be. That was a living creature.
