  • I love you. You are funny as hell!!!!!!!!

  • the only thing is that Chris didn't actually show "bad hair". White people do not know what black hair is. They think that it's just simply as blonde vs brunette. And they should compare it to mixed person's hair.

  • "....as long as they're lubricated" LOL

  • "as long as its not fuckin split for the gods, okay banana splits on dat ass" Lol

  • YOU ARE SO REAL

  • awwww u r the cutest thing...i think that ur videos and topics are so comical but informative admirable...keep it up!!! :)(well lol u have,im juss extra late) but ima new fan :)

  • "BALD HEAD-ASS CHICKENS AND DUCKS."

    BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

  • people need to go read the Willie lynch letter so they can overstand why a lot peoples mentalities are fucked up!!!

  • Saw Good Hair. I'm biracial. I watched it with my gay white friend and he finally got how we black girls do our hair. He looked at me, in the middle of the movie, and was like, "Girl, I didn't know you had to go through so much work with your hair" (with perming and straightening and dying). That movie praised the trials and tribulations with black and mixed girls hair. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the film...

  • banana split on dat ass! lmao ily :)

  • You know what Quaadir? I'm 15 and I'm natural and I was gonna go and get my hair cut because my ends are MASHED up due to damage over the years...and I didn't wanna do it because I was scared of what everyone was gonna say about my hair being short, now u just gave me some encouragment, I mean, afterall it's my hair :)

    x

  • I love this video! Timaya you're the best :D

  • chris wasted his money downgrading the black race. it is nobody's business on how the black woman takes care of her hair. good hair is washed, clean and groomed hair. black hair comes in different textures. some is coarsed, some is wavy. all of it grows from an individual head. black people should wear their hair naturally. your hair does not make you. your mind, soul and spirit makes you.

  • @AveolarD

they should learn how to correctly groom their hair naturally so that relaxing and weave is not the only way to "groom". And I'm mixed race btw not black. They need to show real black hair not weaves or mixed Halle berry in magazine's so these women learn about their real hair as well as the general public. The general public thinks that all black hair is straight naturally (the afro was just a fashion). And they think mixed people are black. Education is the key.

  • lol. "All that and a bag of mo fo-ing chips on that ass". HA! I love that:)

  • lol, his "token" Boy I subbed

  • N how the hell u gonna try to use his own damn words agenst him, that just more proves u get entertainment n enjoyment from watching him. Fake ass follower, I can tell u won't get that far in life! Lol... Sad ass!

  • He said " just tell the bitch ta blow your asshole"! Wow lol

  • yes that was a good show

  • Wow you are so, so camp...wow. Anyway i think that the film was rubbish, Chris did put his opinions into the film he could not have been more biased. He highlighted certain issues while ignoring others and made us all look like crazy, weave wearing crack heads that are forcin men to pay for our hair , bills , life etc..This is not the case. You did make me laugh though..!

  • @Amorphustruth

    well, you are.

  • You're really funny!!!

  • u go girl

  • Hmm...Very informative review, I was on the fence about renting it, but at the same time I was interested in seeing other perspectives on why black women (or black people in general) are so vain about their hair.

So, with that said, I'll be renting it.

  • ....You sound like u can sing.

i am with you the point about having healthy hair. Thats what really counts.

  • I agree healthy hair is good.

  • ur father is a faggot as well! didnt u know that??

  • @PookieTheGame i dont get it pookie...if u think hes such a faggot why do u watch soooooo much of his video and leave a comment on them woow....u must like something about :-)....loove u Qaadir!

  • lol @ grease lightning boi u a fool

  • hair is hair...be thankful you have it cuz some people are fucking bald...im sick and tired of the wohle hair situation stop trying to be what you are not,be who you are and trust that thats beautiful...if the world makes u feel different thats ignorance be above the influence.

  • i love you timaya . . . =]

  • i feel you booboo =] . . . dont mind the haters !

  • henna is a natural way to colour your hair. Not all natural hair is healthy but it tends to be healthier than relaxed hair because it has more protein than relaxed hair hence breaks much less. relaxed hair has much less protein because the chemicals used to straighten it break down the hair structure thus stripping the hair of a lot of protein making it weaker and more prone to breaking and splitting

  • thank u for posting this vide, i just saw this movie for the first time and absolutley loved this documentary. i got educated and i laughed so hard. chris rock did his damn think and i agree with you 100% on what beautiful hair is. do your thing babez

  • lmao@ beebee shots bein ashy

  • Lol!!

  • Was that necessary? That was rude and uncalled for.All you had to say was you liked it, you didn't have to give back-handed compliments. And I am a straight woman.

  • Ashberrysoda, I appologise for my ignorrant comments. I'm the one that is retarded and I'm the one that was a fool for saying such stupid stuff like that. And you are a very beautiful woman. You're still funny as hell though!! LOL!!

  • Can I say you have a " Good Face?" Because your skin color and skin tone is flawless.

  • You are funny as hell! Great review!

  • for years, our parents grand parents were rocking a fierce huge afro. how did they do??Why is thta people are saying that they cannot maintain natural hair? i just dont get it? Are we that lazy that we cannot even take care of our own hair? white wimen have hard time doing their hair too and they are never happy of what they got but ive yet to see a white women taking a kinky weave or sportng an afro and it is possible. LOVE YOURSELF! Why am i even talking about white people, its about us

  • @VALENNEA well speaking for MYSELF I definitely love myself... white people get PERMS to make their hair curly or wavy things of the sort. if I want my hair permed i can have it permed ive had my hair natural and ive had it relaxed. to each his own its their hair let them do as they choose

  • @VALENNEA

exactly! maintaining natural hair is wayyy easier to maintain than any type of african american straighten hair.Once i quit straightening my hair and i let my fro go i got more compliments than ever. and ppl all hair is good hair as long as its healthy. :)

  • @VALENNEA The same grandparents who fried our hair with hot iron combs to change its texture and appearance? To make it straight? White womens hair is deemed attractive and afro hair deemed unattractive by the society in which we live. Hence the reason why white women would never wish to be seen dead in our hair type. We are all affected differently and you cannot dictate how we should feel. You do as you please and leave others to do as they please. Why do black people seek to control others?

  • well i love when people who relax their hair always want to say that they are not their hair. Actually you are. Because, hair clothes, the choices you make to appear a certain way is saying a lot about you! Some people have the freedom to not being like other people. the freedom to be who they really are. Whne you came to this world, i dont think you had a relaxer nor a weave. So we should not blame people for making this or that choice but it still says a lot about how you perceive yourself!

  • good hair is hair that grows healthy, shinny, without the need for relaxers, straightners, weaves or anything.

  • lol 4:30

  • "THIS ISSUE IS SO DAMN OLD JESUS HEARD ABOUT IT"

    LMBAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know i love you right?

  • Damn son you can talk like a mug lmao.

    Good Stuff

  • First my comment on the video, I agree good hair is healthy hair we need to teach our children and ignorant people that. I liked that chris rock made it funny too because people would have been mad because it is a tough subject. The topic of black hair can go deeper than just hair. It is a problem that we have to work on ourself, and we been brainwash by the media to be european. No matter what color or race you are be happy for who you are. I saw the movie last nite, it was a great movie!

  • "...on that ass...and things of this na-ture." I love it, LOL!

  • lol...ashy hair.

  • I'm soooo glad to be beyond the good hair bad hair drama that plagues Black folks. Thank You Jesus.

  • gotta stay natural, son...every other race does. Fuck all the chemicals and shit.

  • amen and amen again

  • @pzcato false do people not' know about whites getting perms as well?

  • @locatrinbagonian they do. but for different reasons. that's the point...

  • holy shit dude u look so much alike chris tucker

  • its 2009 r u living in a trailer park? what a homophobe >.>

  • Did you just discover gay people? Come on now.

  • omg u r hilarious

  • LOL LOL

  • lol I love this video i'm subscribing :)

  • i never understood why us black people jus dont accept our hair for wat it is or looks like....they want it to look likke white pplz hair. Well bitch we're black and they're white we already dont look alike so why does our hair have to look alike? im happy with what i got...I think black ppl are beautiful no matter if you got natural hair, relaxed hair, make up on, no make up....STOP W/ THE BULLSHIT PLZ! ;0)

  • tell her to blow your asshole. hilarious.

  • :-D

    thanks.

  • Every time someone says "good hair" I respond by asking "What is good hair?" No one has ever given me an answer that makes since. You can have kinky hair that is good. You can have straight or curly hair that is bad. If your hair is healthy, no matter the texture, it's GOOD. If that shit is constantly breaking off, edges are GONE then that mess is BAD. People of all cultures have good and bad hair.

  • i died @ "uuuummmhmmm, she sho nuff did bitch"

  • hahahahahahah you're soooo cute and hilarious...I love it hahahahhaha!

  • thank you

    thank you

    thank you!!!

  • OMG I love what you are saying seriously, I agree with you 100%

  • To be honest I am surprised that ppl still use the term. My daughter has curly hair and I hear it all the time. I cringe everytime

  • I had a doctor say to me that my daughter has good hair.

  • What i dont understand is that every time somebody see's a black person w/ good hair or long hair we always have to be mixed! How come every other race is allowed to have nice long curly or silky hair except for blacks?! When it comes to us, the rest of the world just acts like we're all supposed to just have nappy hair an thats it!

  • lot of love from Pueto Rico en michigan lot and lot of love

  • Thank you for that excellent definition of "good hair". I agree 100%

  • Thank You soooo much for this video!!!

  • ROFLMAO !!!!!!!!!!!

  • all that and a bag of funyuns with tictacs, im going to use that one. funnay

  • OMFG! you are so funny I want to see that movie

  • i fucks with that

  • Preach...

  • I haven't seen it yet and want to but I was wondering how many woman that rock their natural hair on the daily (not permed/ not straightened) were featured in this film? Cause when I saw the preview there were only people with straightened hair and weaves sharing their perspective on the topic...

  • Exactly my point, there were only black women with straightened weaves talking about their weaves like they can't pull an Aaliyah, Maia Campbell, Keisha Knight Pulliam or tatyana Ali & grow it out. That was a part of my point.

  • My hair is natural and I wear it curly, straight, and in an afro sometimes because I like versatility. I have noticed that commercials are getting a lot of natural women to be part of their commercials. For example, that birth control commercial where the women are taking off their caps and getting into the pool, that black girl has natural hair. They should've gotten women with natural hair to speak on the topic. What can a permed hair chick tell me about natural hair?..............nothing.

  • Girl, I feel u. Lol

  • I totally agree with this video.

  • they can't be ashy!!!!!! LOL

  • all of that && a bag of muthafckn funyuns!

  • ...With some tic tacs!!! AAAAAHAHAHA!!

  • Some of the stuff in the movie were educating, enlightening & positive but some of it was degrading & stereotyping too unless he'll be making a part 2 to it with people like Paris Hilton & Britney Spears talking about their weaves. And I know african americans with curly hair that aren't mixed.

  • Lastly, I'd like 2 say that indian women don't have 2 run the other way if they see a black woman coming because ALL & ONLY black girls don't wear weave. That is a stereotype that needs 2 stop being supported.I am african american.I have long hair, nice hair & I don't wear weave. Thanku

  • Also why is it that if a black girl gets a relaxer r dyes her hair, people automatically assume it's becuz she's not happy with her natural texture r that she wants2look b like another race? Why can't it jus be what it is.. that we want a different hairstyle 4 that moment r occasion.White girls dye their hair, get perms 2 make their hair curly & wear weaves 2 but their not getting accused of NOT being proud of who they r or wanting 2 look like other races.

  • Comment removed

  • the white girls dont get blamed for perms and weave because they don't do it as much. the white girls are content with their straight hair normally so they don't need more weave, plus it would be expensive, probably only the really thin-haired white girls get extensions.

the hair dye girls put in isn't really controversal cuz they all white girls anyway they arent tryin to b another race and its obvious they aren't. most white girls never get perms to get curly hair any more, that was the 90's

  • or people just assume white girls hair is naturally straight or curly, black or blonde when they see it like they assume black women have relaxers when in fact some us can't and don't get them cuz they mess up our texture and some of us actually just use flat irons like some white women. or like they assume black women have weaves like I've been assumed at times or like they never suspect a white weave. All white women aren't blondes. We may jus wanna dif hair color.R we NOT allowed?

  • no i'm sayin that it isn't controversial when white women dye their hair, cuz they are all still white u kno. blck haired white girls, blond hair white girls, when they dye their hair different colors it's no one thinks they are betraying their race because they are all still white no matter what the color hair.

no whites really talk about how black people dye their hair either, we don't discriminate, it's not odd to us at all lol we don't think "omg that black girl is tryin to be white" LOL...

  • Ok, I see.

  • I wore my hair straightened and long down my back one night out (i'm dark skinned) and a Caucasian lady came up and asked me where I got my weave, I was like "what do you mean?" she goes "that's not ur natural hair is it? It's too pretty" I said yes and she would not belive me and insisted that I had tracks put in and tried to touch my hair. It's all my natural hair and I was so offended I just walked away.

  • You should have let her touch it, but that's what I mean. People just assume it's not ours whenever they see a black girl with long hair so that's why they think we all wear weave. I used to get braids in my hair all the time & whenever I took them out people acted like they were shocked I had my own LONG hair underneath. My sister was even asked if she was mixed because her hair is really nice is what the white woman said that asked her, lol. Hilarious it all is.

  • You should've punched her dead in her face!

  • I understand his intention for the movie but at the same token I don't like the impression the movie sent that ONLY black girls wear weave or it's all we're about. And 2 correct u, all mixed ppl don't have curly hair.I've seen mixed ppl with the same texture as non mixed ppl so that is another stereotype 2 up hold mixed ppl like the stereotype that all mixed ppl r beautiful which their not, lol.I've seen some ugly mixed ppl with some jacked up ass hair & this isn't a diss 2 ur video so we're clear

  • No we are not the only culture that changes our outside appearance to meet some standard of "white" beauty because Brown people all over the world bleach and Asian people get eye surgery to look more European, etc. But I'd rather deal with the issues in my own community (than help white people realize that they too wear weaves sometime).

  • @in2itshen ...and WHITE people tan themselves to have darker skin! So, what's your point! It seems no race is happy with how they look! All these white chicks are trying to have dark skin now to be more hood!?

  • Amen..

  • thanks for the info on the movie i can't wait to see it, i just saw a preview and i blew me away wow. great

  • Wow!

  • Are u from the south?

  • *claps* healthy hair is beautiful hair.

  • Keep doing you boo. Love ya:)

  • can't wait to see the movie

  • lmfao

i love when you say "on that ass"

  • I agree with you 100%

  • FIERCE!

    SNAP, CRACLE AND P O P!

  • LOL. 4:20 - 4:30 You are so funny. I do wanna see "Good Hair"

I used to say 'good hair, bad hair' YEARS ago, not anymore now that I read the Willie Lynch speech.

  • You are hilarious. I love YA! ...and so true.

  • OMG fuggin love this but yeah so true.

  • Where was the screening at? I would of loved to go.

  • It's not fair but I have experienced the bias first hand. Why not let my abilities, resume, experience, etc. speak to my skills- not how I wear my hair. "I am not my hair...I am the soul that lies within..." India Arie. I will definately see the movie! Thanks for the post!

  • All hair has to be maintained and taken care of-it is a reflection of who you are. I can't tell someone else what is right for them, but I would like it be more acceptable for all our hair textures, styles and types to be universally embraced by ourselves, let alone by greater society. Your hair shouldn't dictate the types of jobs you should be eligible for, but it does because society also has an impression of what someone is like based off their hair.
