...think about it. Would anyone have appreciated EVH if all he did was instrumental solo work? We would have been bored with Eddie as well. What IS sad is when an artist's or band's most promising stuff is on their 1st or 2nd album only. For example: give me VH1 & VH2 any day over almost anything else they ever did. Or Ozzy with Rhodes: same thing. Or better yet, Def Leppard: 1st album On Through the Night (with Rock Brigade, Wasted, etc.) was their ONLY hard rock album with good guitar work!

MAB wears a wig on stage a lot. He even did when he was young, but his real hair is very similar (wierd). He sounds boring quickly, just as any guitar hero does, when he departs from good, well-written hard rock tunes, and embraces the 100% shredding 100% of the time style of music.

Sad story is, MAB was at his Absolute BEST when his abilities were applied to good songs (like every tune on Little Monsters by Holland). Great writing, tone, solos, vocals & personality. He never approached again.
