@deicide666slayer My pc sucks too. I bought AE and put it onto a 1tb drive that is empty apart from the game. I lowered the screen resolution and turned down all the settings to the lowest apart from the character models. I also left the backgrounds set to high. Bring up task manager and turn off everything you don't need to run. You can also overclock your graphics card using river tuner :) i did all this and now the game runs at full speed on a crappy pc :)

One of the biggest advantages with competitive games on PC is that they tend live a lot longer. Just look at CS 1.6 and SC1, both games over 10 years old and still have a very active competitive scene.

This is because PC games are playable between PC's of different specs and age while a game on XBOX 360 for example will most likely die ones the console dies.

@djb1ge Well, I see your point but I also see their POV. I think Gootecks and Mike Ross wants to do is to upstart the PC gaming community and have them take a look at the FGC. If you look at the other big-money tourneys you see SC, LoL, that Dota2 1million tourney and I think they realized that their is a big potential from the PC gamers. They want to tap into that community and take the FGC into another level. That's my opinion on this thing though.

SSF4: AE on PC is pretty terrible. The in-game benchmark says that the game runs at 120 frames per second, and that shit still lags. I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it.

It's hard to know how many exactly cause the only figures to go off are number of people who launched AE through steam that specific day. But yea i never have problems getting games with people even people from the US and Brazil i've had good ping to. I know Arturo and Marn play on PC now.

@glrebirth9 The idea of pushing the PC SF4 community is genius. They deserve it, after all we partly have them to thank for the SF3 Online. And Gootecks is absolutely correct for taking that initiative for motivating PC players to join that tourney. Much thanks to Capcom for supporting the community with PC codes.

Hopefully one day, we will play SF on console online along with PC players like Portal, and Shadowrun.

Also, I hope they fix that lag.
