Just out of curiosity, when does Carnival start (this year) and how long does it last (on average)? I know Carnival is huge all over the world (America calls it Mardi Gras, Germany calls it Karneval) and I wanted to know if it's celebrated differently in different places. Thank you!

@Dashi90 I'm from the Dominican Republic and Carnival there is during all the month of February. Here in Argentina in the city of Corrientes carnival will start on Jan 27 and it will be for around 3 weeks. I know that in Ecuador carnival is also on February.
