nice rich :) i would add 1 thing only, a light sharpen to the video, i record in 1080 from the gaming edition pvr and it seems to bring the best out the video

@siilencedxbl also temp mate you should get magic bullet looks for easier nicer CC's. And maybe check out some custom render settings. It might take alittle longer to render but the qualoty will be boss.

@clanwmd had to comment. I have a custom built 6 core 3.2ghz(equiv to an i9 technically) with 8gb of ram(upgrading to 12 soon) with a kick ass nvidia graphics card. To build my pc including tower and monitor its cost me just over £500. My cousin bought a brand new mac for £1.2k and you know whats funny my pc blows it completly out of the water. I can render really fast too

Whenever I drag my clips from my haupagge hd pvr in vegas pro 11, vegas just freezes and crashes. This happens when i record in .ts .m2ts, and when i record in .mp4 it's zoomed into the top left of the screen in the preview. Please help :(. I've heard it's just a problem in vegas 11 or ? I converted my m2ts to ts i media coder but i lose soo much quality :/.

Above your preview box there's a button that says "project settings" when you hover over it. Press that and on the top drop down menu, the template one, go down to "HD 1080-60i (1920x1080, 29.970 fps)"

That's the one that I use. It'll make it widescreen <3

Rendering at 4.8 obviously isn't ideal but I have a bad upload speed, 4.8mbps is a nice mix of decent quality and smaller file sizes. 720p on a video rendered in 4.8 is still good quality.

BTW, 14 is useless, may as well manually input 13.5mbps.

Of course you wouldn't know anything of uploading, on average, 1.5 videos a day on a poor connection, it's a pisstake. Bollocks to rendering in 3 times the bitrate.

A better way is to keep the information digital by recording over HDMI. Matrox MXO2 mini will mean that you can record in HDMI and compress/render in faster than real time. I capture on my laptop over HDMI and then compress in HQ. It doesn't take a beast machine.

My point is that you buying a 3.3 i7 and all that other garbage is a waste and you could REALLY improve your render time with a $700 capture card that accelerates rendering. Video card and cpu are fine for a pc gaming rig but all of that is for nothing when you are competing with an h.264 encoding chip. Why are all of you pc fanboys fixated on the pc v mac. I am talking about a h.264 encoder.

@ClanWMD Video editing is one small thing with a computer. That's the one thing that is maybe better than a PC, but even then a PC is still excellent at video editing. Also, a degree doesn't make a point more valid, you just made yourself look pretty stupid. It's known that PC > Mac in overall performance. Oh and saying your mac can render faster than Temps PC when you've spent £600 on that Matrox makes me rofl. £1.6k on a machine that does the same as a £800 PC... wow, just wow.

@Syndictive Spec for spec a mac is actually faster. The trouble is that they don't have the latest processor slapped in them the moment it hits the market. Overhead is the issue. Example: if you have 2 cars with the same HP and torque... reasonably the same aerodynamics.... the one that weighs less will be faster. (ie. the mac) The programming (unix) and the OS (lion) are more efficient. That leaves you with overhead on the "PC" side.
