her advice is odd. in slow pitching you DO palm the ball and let it roll off your fingertips, not grip the ball. notice that she's hitting the plate each throw. none are good pitches...they would all be balls.

Did you do ANY preparation before filming? Script work? The uhs, ums, and you knows really detract from the presentation. Write a script, practice it, practice it, practice it, then redo this video. Somebody might actually be able to get something out of this then.

im a pitcher but i dont know what the exact kind of pitching is called that i do on my team

its not windmill pitching, but its much faster than this like 50-60, and it goes straight across the plate, and doesnt arc into the air

You are talking about "Modified Pitching." It is the third and lesser known form of softball behind "slow pitch" and "fast pitch." It is illegal to use in "slow pitch" leagues since the arc is less than the 6 to 12 ft requirement. It is rarely used in "fast pitch" leagues since the windmill style is faster and more effective. However there are some "modified pitching" leagues that only adhere to one or both of the two styles of "modified pitching."
