  • @StephenTheNom. I am also singing it for a comp. in the version I am using it has less accent. But that could be directors choice. Oh.... and good job

  • impressive guys, i am singing this song for a competition coming up and you made it sound awesome.

  • this is a beautiful song no matter what you believe

  • @nimox57, @FAITHandLOGIC - A hymn doesn't have to be written by Mormons for Mormons to fully believe in what it says and sing it. One of Gordon Hinckley's (a past church president) favorite songs was "Amazing Grace." Plus, classics like "How Great Thou Art" and "Onward Christian Soldiers" are in the Mormon hymnbook.

  • @joelharm I didn't say they couldn't sing it. Though, this hymn is associated with the return of Christ at the last trumpet (1 Thes 4:13-18). Most mainstream Christians, as well as LDS, teach the immortal soul doctrine which basically says that the soul departs from body to be with God upon death. I disagree with that assertion.

Great job though. The Mormons have amazing choirs.

  • @FAITHandLOGIC Sorry to generalize, but I was trying to reply to two people at once so my reply may have assumed more about your comment than you intended.

  • This is a Seventh Day Adventist hymn

  • what does this song got to do with mormons? isn't this song baptist?

  • lol funny how im mormon and somehow i find this?!

  • The lower notes in this song are constantly sharp. I do like the dynamic contrasts but that's about the only good thing I hear in this performance.

  • I'm not a Mormon, and neither is this hymn Mormon, though this particular rendition is. The hymn is by my namesake John Leland, who (like me) was a Baptist. Hymnary.org has the full 7 double verses from the 1835 Southern Harmony - hoping to do this song at Fremont Baptist (Seattle) May 22, along with Charles Price Jones's "Where Shall I Be?"

  • this is one of my favorites!

  • Whether or not one agrees with Mormon doctrine, one thing's for sure. They sure can sing!

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • Quite good.

  • Imams call to prayer in

  • I remember singing this song in choir, it was a amazing and enjoyable to sing. I love this piece :D

  • Wonderful performance, awful religion. Sorry. They spend most of their time trying to convert people from my religion, which they call the "Whore of Babylon". Dreadfully false religion.

  • @StevenShields29 You condemn yourself with your comments. All religion contains elements of truth. The LDS church will not condemn you for your testimony especially if it is of the Saviour or the Atonement. You have your truths, but are they complete? The LDS Church claims all you have and more! If you are a lover of truth, don't you have an obligation to look into their message rather than condemn their efforts to add to what you already have?

  • @bigz1957 dont you know that mormons are blind to the truth cause they haven't actually read their bible cause if they did.............. they would know, they would know

but they don't so to bad for them

  • @frontlinebassist777 how do you know mormons havn't read their "bible" which is btw NOT their bible, it is the book of mormon, it goes hand in hand with the the bible that every christian, including mormons, use. Oh, and btw, they've read both. The book of mormon only reaffirms the bible.

  • @dnlsan9 your a dumb ass. the book of mormon dose not reaffirm the bible it contridicts it so that means its wrong, its flaud, its not perfect, for sure not devinely inspired. so it false your an idiot and i mean that very respectfully

  • @frontlinebassist777 I'm curious as to why you are so malicious towards mormons and myself. I mean, you don't even know me man. I don't know what mormons might have done to you, but they are generally very kind, loving people. Have YOU read the book of mormon? I think if you did, you wouldn't be so opposed to it. It really isn't as absurd as everyone likes to believe.

  • @frontlinebassist777 -- Let me get this straight. You are calling people "dumb a---es," yet you can't spell "divinely" correctly? Twice in three lines you misuse the possessive pronoun "your" when you mean the contraction "you're," yet you dismiss members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as "idiots"? Christ said that he who calls his brother "thou fool" shall be in danger of hellfire. I hope that you can repent of this bad attitude.

  • @dnlsan9 your a dumb ass simple as this "galatians 1:8" mormons go to hell well it actually says eterenaly condemed but i figured its the same thing. heres my theory if it has 1 contridiction its wrong and well there you go, enjoy being eternally condemd i'm not gonna join you

  • @frontlinebassist777 the book of mormon preaches that same gospel spoken of in galatians 1:8 my friend, the gospel of Jesus Christ. happy holidays.
