  • I DEFINITELY will be trying this out and uploading a test. I will comment back to see how this works xD

  • Is this effect only on Pro versions of Sony Vegas? I have SV9 Platinum

  • I remember hearing the term velocity being thrown around and I always had no clue what it was. Thank you so much for showing/explaining this -- I'm already implementing this in my new projects!

  • Uhhh, im going to try this!! :D

  • Thank you so much for doing this! I, too, have been using CTRL all of this time so I can't wait to try this out. Thanks again! :)

  • oh ignore my last comment ive found it :)

  • one more thing how do u set the point to 300 coz my vegas doesnt have that option...

  • This was great for your first tutorial! Velocity has always been kind of a grey area for me and I use it sparingly in my videos. All the different fades you showed-I had no idea about those! Thanks so much, and I can't wait to see what you cover next!

  • thank you for your help :) I think i can manage to do velocity now :D before, i tried to use it in one or two of the projects i was working on but didn't know exactly how to do it just right, xD so this is an amazing tutorial <3

  • This is great! I've always done it the same way asmiamigurl26 before, but this way will make it much more simpler cause now I don't have to ct in the clips to change the speed.

But hey, if you don't mind me asking, what's the "touch" thing on your audio track?

Is that something for a new version of the program or somekind of adjustment you've made?

  • @Glasshour13th You're welcome! XD As for the "touch" thing, I used Sony Vegas Pro 11 in this and if you push the button(touch button), it allows you to mute/pan/change the volume of certain points of the audio on that track. I hope that helps =)

  • LIFE SAVER! oh my damn you have saved me :') I was getting so frusterated with this concept but its an absolute must in vidding! Thank you thank youuuu! I have a feeling this channel is going to be the best tutorial one around, my goooodness. thanks again! seriously, you are such a giving person and it was super easy to follow and understand!

    <333

  • @HermioneXRonify Lol well then I am glad I saved you a bit more frustration. I was a bit worried that I may have been confusing so I am very glad to hear that you were able to follow everything ;D

  • @xXNoWayToLoveProd You're welcome! XD

  • I suck at using velocity so thank you for this because now I may suck less haha!!! Seriously it's so nice of you to do this ♥

  • @XdwlLisaX Haha!!! I'm sure you don't suck but I am glad this could be a bit helpful ;D

  • Thank you so much for this tutorial - I'm gonna experiment with it later :D

  • @Ankatje You are welcome! =) I hope you have fun haha!

  • wow i've had sony vegas for about three years and never even knew this existed:') i've been using ctrl all this time, definitely going to try this out now:)

  • @IcedGemInc Yay! I'm glad you got something out of this and I hope it works out for you =)

  • Wow!

    Thanks so much for this!

I've been doing it a different way, this is so much easier!!

I'd been holding the corner of a clip, and holding cntrl to either stretch or condense it, which makes the clip go faster or slower.

    Thanks for the tutorial! XD

  • @miamigurl26 Thank you hun! I have tried that way before and it felt weird for me since I am so used to using the velocity line haha! I'm glad this could help =)
