Another American DW fan here who also names Jon Pertwee as the top Dr. I started with Tom Baker and until watching the available DW Seasons 1-26, considered Baker as the top Dr. The best era of DW, including the New Series, was from The War Games through Horror of Fang Rock. The absolute peak of that era was Season11-14 with Sarah Jane and Dr's #3&4.
The only change I would make to your list is to add Time Warrior for the intro of Sarah.
it's VERY exciting to watch your commentaries, even at the moments when nothing particularly incredible is happening on the video, nothing that wants me to say "WOW!!!" your comments, the rhythm and intonation of your speech makes me hold my breath and think "omg, that's hilarious!"

I like the Third Doctor too, but he's not my favorite. I think UNIT eventually got played out when he was The Doctor, but that doesn't keep him from being one of my favorites personally. My favorite stories with him in it are Inferno, Colony In Space, The Daemons, Curse of Peladon, Frontier in Space and The Time Warrior.
