  • @LonghornPhysicist But don't feel bad for me. I had a job at Orbital Sciences even before they laid me off from RATCO. In fact, I had to ask Orbital to delay my hire date just so I could stay at RATCO long enough to get laid off. So RATCO and Frank Werman (site executive at Falls Church) paid for almost half of my 2012 Mustang GT.

  • @LonghornPhysicist I worked on the Senior Year program by the way. I actually was hired by a company called "E-Systems" in 1992. I worked on the RS-6B, RS-7, RAS-1, RAS-1A, and RAS-1M systems over the years. Worst thing that ever happened was when Raytheon bought E-Systems. Thank god I'm covered by the fully funded E-Systems retirement plan. Raytheon has no control over the E-Systems pension fund. Raytheon could go belly-up tomorrow and it wouldn't affect my retirement benefits at all.

  • @LonghornPhysicist Sorry for the two part post. They limit how many characters in each post. You know, had the company not lied thru their teeth about their intentions, I might have actually gone down to Norfolk to help them out, but when they showed themselves to have no ethics or honesty, I wanted no part of it. Out of 18 people they tried to entice into transferring to Norfolk, including me, 7 or 8 actually went.

  • @ LonghornPhysicist. Wrong! I was at the Falls Church, VA facility for 18 years. I had a Secret Clearance for 13 years, and a TS for 5 years. Then RATCO decided to move, leasing buildings from AOL near Dulles airport. For at least eight months, they told us the production were all moving to a satellite building near the main building. And it turns out that all the while they were negotiating with another subsidiary about 200 miles away in Norfolk, VA. (the armpit of America, by the way)

  • I worked for Raytheon (A.K.A. RATCO). You people have no idea what a horrible, unethical, souless company it is.

  • @Cybrsk8r I am willing to bet you didn't. They don't usually hire idiots like you who probably wouldn't be able to get a security clearance.

  • The stupid British, always blaming the weapon makers and not the weapon users.

When a drunk driver kills a pedestrian, do they protest at the local Ford plant?

  • I am surprised they didn't set the thing on fire in an attempt to bring awareness to peace rather than war!

  • If only these STUPID left wing activists had the BRAINS and wit to understand that THEY [and their relatives] would most likely be the FIRST to die if islime law was introduced as the norm in their country! Get life, get a wash and GROW the fuck up!

  • Phew I was shitting myself for a minute.

Thought my mate Ray Theon (hes Greek)had done something dodgy again.

  • huh?

  • Nice didnt know they had military hardware produced in bristol.

Thanks ill see if they have any employment oppotunitys.

  • Israel was utterly justified in its invasion of Lebanon, a country that was allowing a known terrorist group to operate completely unhindered within its borders. Hezbollah was constantly attacking Israel with ballistic rocket and suicide attacks.

The world doesn't need yet another group of violent dissenters. Raytheon's technology protects the interests of the free world. I'm sure if all defense organizations an military contractors suddenly disappeared, you would be missing them.

  • thank yyou ive been trying to tell ppl the same thing but they wont listen to me cuz im 13

  • WTF i didnt understand a thing
