Why is your method better than Andrew Kramer's plugin method that many other people use? Also, how were the clash .movs created, they look like they might be prematted lens flares, am I correct? Good tutorial!

@klbasey with andrew kramer's method, the base of the lightsaber is always rfully rounded, no matter what you do, so sometimes it doesnt work because of the perspectivce. And my method gives a more accurate lightsaber core. His method is more quick, but my method gives better results.

@bouchandre Yeah, well it's not so much to do with perspective. It would still apply in an isometric world. The point is that when the angle of the lightsaber changes, the shape made at the part where it joins the handle will change. The only time when the bottom end of the saber core should be completely circular is when the saber is pointing directly towards the camera.

@J35P3R6 i edit videos too like this and i download the sound, then in a other video editing program, (i use UleadVideoStudio11) i add sounds, if you're going to do a lightsaber video, its easy to find anywhere on the internet :)
