Nice to see out of the box thinking, especially for the reasons quoted in the video - SaR is probably significantly easier when you're that close to the ground, moving at slower speeds (compared to say, traditional means at minimum altitudes and significantly higher speeds.)
Not to mention operating costs must be significantly cheaper (1gph pump gas vs 25+gph of Jet A), and heli parts are -not- cheap (important parts easily cost $10k+).
All funding from this project came from the sale of vehicles and equipment confiscated from individuals arrested for illegal drug traffic. The risks to police officers in these drug related arrests are far greater than a face plant in a paramotor. Additional funds from these auctioned items are used to further support law enforcement activities including promoting volunteer programs for local hospitals, which provide care for cancer patients.

Very good idea , but have you noticed tht the apssenger is blocking the viow of the pilot !!! see it clearly @ 1:10 seconds of this clip , with smalll modification this should be great tool.

they should also do the same here in the philippines. philippines has lots of beaches and most of it is near or parallel with the main roads
