I have my very first interview ever for an internship and I forgot to pack decent "interviewee" clothes. While freaking out and wondering if I should drive all the way back home to get the clothes or busk out in the streets to buy some new ones, I thought of this particular scene in the movie. I hate to break this to you, but IT IS A MOVIE. It's not real life. Check the stats on what actually happened to the vast majority of black men during the Reagan administration. They have NOTHING to do with this mythological film.
