  • OMG IS THIS IN SALINAS CA? My sons being tested for autism. I dont know anyone in my area who has kids with this issue 0_0

  • He's a very handsome young man. Love his eyes. :)

  • I love your video's, I have recently started working with children with autism as a teaching assistant and it's a huge step forward but very rewarding. I find your video's very inspirational and I know every child with autism won't be the same as another, but even if I have the slightest positive effect on their lives I'll be happy.

Also on an unrelated note 1:21 is definitely the host of "epicmealtime".

  • I hate how some people in the store where staring at him like he was some freak! Your son is wonderful god made him that way!

  • @TheSynnSunn Thanks so much. YOu sound like a wonderful sister!

  • he's really cute ;)

  • @IGuessItsSteph I think the same thing!

  • I just wanted to say i have watched a lot of ur videos but this one was just amazing. i work with young adults with autism and this is what i love when u have those good days or little break through s. i think ur a amazing mom to keep your son at home i wish u all the luck and happiness in the future :)

  • thank you so much, i dont know how much one can do to help individuals with autism. My individual problem is facing individuals i have problems with and crowds. It's not easy at all. I am higher on the spectrum than james and autism runs in my family. My father has it, i do, and my older uncle has more of it than i do. Ive been rough on all three of us and it doesnt help things. The best thing to do is being kind like you are doing with James, God bless what you are doing and keep doing it!

  • I think you are a wonderful mum, I have aspergers and I have been up dateing my self with your story. I think people like yourself need to be proud of the work you do. people have 9 to 5 jobs you have a 24hr job with out pay. All my love to you and your family and I hope he gets better some day. congrats with getting him to a shopping center. Even with my aspergers I can't handle them. My love and hope goes to you xx oo

  • What a handsome young man!

Just take it one day at a time and you'll be amazed at how much easier it gets each day. My son is 14, and is on the spectrum as well. Thank you for sharing. :)

    @monkitrouble

  • This dude should be a model! How great would that be, an autistic model! I wish the best for him as well as you.

  • It is a good thing that I wasn't around! I would have tested out my trench knife on him! no threat intended

  • @multisnootylives1 Oh, how sweet multisnootylives1, no threat intended, do you think that will save your latest account name? I doubt it. You are perhaps the most nefarious, mentally ill person ever seen on you tube.

  • @multisnootylives1 u are a fuckin asshole.ive seen your comments on these vids, and other videos with autistic children.i have 2 baby sisters that have autism and it is wrong to pick on kids with special needs.and by the way,if u did try and pull a knife on my sisters or this boy,i would grab it and shove it straight up your ass.

  • @multisnootylives1 SOooo, how long have you been an idiot? Seems like you have a sever case. I feel sorry for your suffering. Muah!

  • @multisnootylives1 THAT IS THE LOWEST THING I EVER HEARD ANYONE SAY. SOME PEOPLE ARE A LITTLE DIFFERENT AND THEY ACT DIFFERENT BUT THAT DON'T GIVE YA THE RIGHT TO USE A KNIFE OR IMPOSE ANY TYPE OF HARM. IF YOU TOUCH HIM, I'LL SEE YOUR ASS IS PUT ON DEATH ROW, IF YOU DON'T LIKE ACCEPTING PEOPLE FOR WHO THEY ARE, THAN YOU'RE A PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN BEING. IF YA WANNA FIGHT, I'LL COME AND KICK YOUR ASS!!!!!

  • @multisnootylives1 WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU MAN???

  • @multisnootylives1 Classless.

  • *tears* My son is 18 years old and has sever Autism. He does the self injury thing as well. How do people treat someone with Autism? Same as you probably would. Many just stare like he's a freak show, which he is very conscience of. Autism isn't a mental retardation. They are aware of everything around them, including people staring at them like they are freaks. These kids/young adults KNOW they have something unlike "normal" people wrong with them.

  • What handsome young man <3

  • i have a son with autism hes just coming up to age 13 and is also doing well , thanks for posting the video

  • How does garlic and cod liver oil help?

  • :)..... I just wanna hug him :)......

  • his so handsome!

  • When I take my son out he has a T-shirt on that says, "I'm Autistic, what's your excuse?" It keeps any rude comments away.

  • He looks like he's having a really good time...I love my autistic son...he's so happy with the little things...never asks for a thing...they are really angels in disguise, you know :)

  • He looks so at peace in the Panda store, i wish you could read their minds at times like that to find how things work differently from ours x

  • He's smiling...melts my <3 wonderful video

  • Wonderful :)

But quick question which is totally off topic...

    Why those pants?

They don't AT ALL match his sweater and they're way too short for him

    SOrry xD Just curious

  • @landth78 I know I didn't do a very good job dressing him that day. He was moving around so much I just grabbed what was easiest.

  • @landth78 wht a douchbag u r.

  • I was wondering how do strangers, people "on the street", treat him on daily basis? And do you explain to them what he has?

  • @sidandmoi Most people understand that he is severely autistic, especially people who have worked with autism, but others aren't sure. It's always an educational opportunity and I'm not shy about it. I make sure people see him. We take him everywhere, though it's not easy, because you don't know if he'll flip out..he went beserk in target when the clerk announced something LOUDLY on speakers in store...

  • @CDFoakley

It's a good thing to take kids with autism (and other disabilities) outside, though it somtimes can be hard and frustrating (I missed my sister's wedding ceremony because my son who has PDD NOS, who was then 3 and a half yo cried all through the event and I had to stay in the car with him). Today he's made so much progress (he's 11 and a half yo now) and he's a totally different child/

All the best! Your son is amazing and so are you.

  • @CDFoakley have you tried putting him on the gaps diet? I here it's very effective at reversing the symptoms of autism, although it's most effective when implemented at an early age, it could still be helpful for him.

  • Yay... Good job Jamie!!!

  • This video just made my day, my week, my months!! There are moments when his eyes just sharpen and look directly at mom's face or sissy's face and its like the blinds are drawn up on a window. "I feel the love that my family and medical teams have for me. See? I pulled out all the stops and focused on your eyes." I think my strength might come from just those moments. He is a miracle and he is blessed in your family.

  • @rubymimosa Thank you...yes, it seems there are times he emerges from his autistic zone and is really trying to be more than what we could ever could dream he could be..he has soooo much potential! I wish I had a portable spect scan to take pics of the days he's in these zones to see exactly what is happening in brain at that precise moment, so we can work to target how to keep thim at that moment....

  • @CDFoakley wow - have been perusing your videos! He's a handsome guy! I know what you mean. There are times when I have a moment when I say to myself...my god you are really there...REALLY there! They are precious moments. I am an ECE teacher working in home care with 8yo severely autistic boy...lovely family. He is a handful (big understatement) but he's so, so lovely.

  • @CDFoakley People fear or refute what they don't know or understand. Before I found out my niece was autistic I probably would have been totally oblivious to any need for them. Now that I am aware I am more in tune with those who have these conditions and just people with problems in general. It has brought me closer to God as well. So the presence of these people with conditions in your life is really a blessing...it is a way God is showing his presence and his light.

  • awesome! praise God for the small miracles in life. I really hope this continues for you and your son. he has a beautiful smile and it really shows how happy he is just to be with you! wonderful and thanks for posting this. take care :)

  • oh, he is so adorable! i love it!! <3

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I love his smile so much. May I ask why the title is 'Miraculous Moments? ;) So glad to see him doing so well! :D

  • I believe your name U use inspired me to title it this way! I kept thinking of an appropriate title and then I read one of your comments and was like, yep, that's it...

  • he is pretty good looking i must say

  • I was so glad when I saw the tittle was 'miraculous moments'!
