Isn't it obvious? We're saying that "free" healthcare would actually degrade quality and make it more expensive. Government involvement in healthcare is already squashing out any charitable notions doctors might have and drowning the joy of helping people with mountains of paperwork.
The reason they can't afford it is because government intervention has been gradually increasing costs and inefficiencies for decades. Before the "Great Society" started under Johnson people just went to the doctor and paid a normal fee for the service. Charities, churches and private donors helped people who needed it. People weren't dying in the streets for lack of healthcare - 40 years ago nobody had health insurance. Free markets provide the most benefit to society when they allowed to work.
Funny, although I have to say that a bad dinner is better than no dinner at all--just like poor health care is better than no health care at all for millions of people ...
No need to thumbs down this. You will learn with time... government doesn't do these things because it loves you and wants to help. It strives to grow and acquire power. Look at Pelosi saying babies are bad for the economy... Whose babies? And why? If you are honest with yourself you start to realize the predicament we are putting ourselves in with big government.
Sounds like my current private insurance. Only mine costs more.
Stupid attempt at misinformation.

That was brilliant!
As a collective group, why do we assume there are only two choices. How about a third? Let hospitals provide the health insurance.

It's definitely a funny skit. But I think for all those millions of people in the US that can't afford health care... what do you say to them?

Nena,
That was great! Very funny, but scary too :(
I can't wait for Unidine so that we can go out to eat like all the rich folks. It is so unfair otherwise.

Nina You are a natural. I enjoyed this and will promote it, because this is exactly what universal health care is going to be all about.
