I was there and got my head hit with a flag pole from the Chinese Communist Party students. My head was hit just for standing there with my Tibet flag in silence. I am white.

I was in a group of about 10 pro-tibetans surrounded by around 200 Chinese students with flags. The way they hit people was a few of them would put their flags in front of peoples eyes / cameras, with one or two of them starting to hit anyone they could reach. So you never really got to see who hit you. They didn't care if a person was 5' or 6'8".

according to some other youtube videos, chinese students behaved like that in nagano, too. they even used umbrella. that is what they are studying abroad, i guess. :-)

so chinese do not attack a big white guy. they only kick and punch tibetans and japanese.

oh they kicked me and my mates, covered and tore our banners, doing as much as they could to oppress our message. i couldn't help but see some parallels there...
