yes...it must really be hard to "make a name for yourself when you're the son of someone famous"...a piece of cake though if you're not, and have no connections in the business...???....(notice the little sarcastic tone there...)
But it's a cool song this is....makes me very happy...
Well, if Sting were my father, I am pretty sure his musical career would be my main influence. Be sure to check out a cool acoustic version from Canada, search "live at K-Rock". Very cool!!
Whether Joe Sumner likes it or not, Sting is his father, as a singer & bassist, the genetics will show sometimes. Even Stella McCartney, who's in a different industry from her father Paul, endured the whole, "Stella McCartney, daughter of..." thing in fashion. The truth is, that fact piques people's interest, BUT it's up to Fiction Plane to make those people into and maintain them as FANS. Sting won't have anything to do with that.
Thanks, I love Fiction Plane!! We saw them in Vegas- opened for The Police. I went and met them, bought their CD, got it signed. Really nice guys, too. Hope I didn't annoy Joe too much when I said we weren't positive he was Sting's son but thought so because he sounds kind of like him...Joe Sumner just kind of had a straight face at that point :| Must be hard to make a name for yourself when you're the child of someone famous. They really rocked -get their CD and listen to it...a great one!

just like copeland did with The Police.good song, nice hook, but it has to suck being referred to as Son of Sting ad nauseum, just ask Julian Lennon.
