  • You forgot the soda water. That's not a Mojito

  • @zerocoolPAOK as he said this was HIS favorit mojito, not nessesarely the original.

  • @zerocoolPAOK It is a mojito lowball. What you're thinking of is mojito highball, which includes the soda water.

  • @zerocoolPAOK

fail. this is not a hi-ball drink you failfail

  • @ThaSkylineSucks his favorit!

  • I'm in love I'm making that but mabye in a bigger glass more the fun

  • According to Cubans, the mint should be treaten like a Cuban woman, you can not hit it, but a little spanking is ok!

  • Well, making the best mojito or not, this is not the original. I like variations, but be sure to call it variations. The original is with the juice of half a lime, 10-12 mint leafs, 2 tea spoons of white sugar, rum, soda water, and ice cubes. No muddleing, just stire it.

The problem with putting crushed ice is that is loosing it freshness. The soda water is more fresh than water, so that is to prefer. And it is also the original

  • what if I just put 1 or 2 leafs so it's less mint flavor? would that work?

  • @rpiminsa your making a mojito not a daiquiri.

  • makes me wish i had fresh mint and a mottle.

  • Great video - unfortunately missing the point!

A mojito is the "variation" what Paul mentioned - with soda. What is shown here, is rather a Minty Caipirissima [Caipirinha with rum].

It doesn't have the soul of a real mojito.

Another crucial point except of the soda: authentically it is made with fine white sugar not with brown. And the stirring is helping to release the flavors, as originally a Mojito is only consisting lime juice, no muddled lime.

  • i had one once in mexico, it was awful!, i didnt taste any mint, just chorophill! like it was made with grass or something!

  • it tastes more menthol than minty

  • Add minced ice till the top of the glass and then put the white rhum (or bacardi). Shake with the shaker and refill the glass with the shaker content.

clean the shaker with a bit of soda or sour (if u wnna give to the cocktail a sweeter taste) and add on the top of your mojito.

  • there's a theory which suggests to avoid crushing mint because of the releasing of mint's oil that could give to the entire cocktail a too strong taste.

According with this theory you should crush just lime and sugar and subsequently add the mint's leafs pressing these just a bit with the pestle on the sugar-lime substance obtained by the previous crushing.

  • excellent videos! best explanations I've seen
