This looks NOTHING like the Genesis version. If you were to tell me that they are the same game I would have laughed and pointed.

@AgentCack yeah genesis version was totally different. First Samurai was better though.

There is one thing I believe this is and that's an Sony Imageworks game like the first one and they just stuck the Psygnosis logo on the box after they started the partnership at about this time with Sony.

It doesn't have the typical Psygnosis backgrounds or the classic green and brown grounding their own games had.

I would like to see a replay with the audio syncing with the video fully. I don't know whats going on sound effects and music wise.

This is the first time I seen this many demi boss stages in a game which is 2 or 3 with nothing but demi bosses and full bosses.

Me and my friend used to play this a lot when I was a kid. Great 2 player arcade. Seeing/hearing the intro again after all these years gave me the chills!

This one was much easier, much less of a chore than the first one. But the first one has the much more epic feel to it.

I know everyone will hate me for saying this but: the Sega Genesis version is way better. That was my first game and I still miss my ol' console (playing it on an emulator doesn't give that feel). Gameplay, graphics, etc. Live long SS for SG.

I like the sound effects in this game. The sound of the jars breaking, the voice of the samurai when gets hurt, the sound of the creatures when you destroy them. Reminds me of my good old childhood when my brother and I played amiga games together...

When i was younger my dad let is play this...then i took the disk out too early and it was stuck on a permanet load screen with every noise from the game playing XD

Too bad the recorder had the sound wrongly configurated as the music channels are way off :(.... The music in this game is kick ass, but sounds aweful in this video... my guess is that he altered the stereo separation to a very bad value.

I recently played the Gensis version. Compared to this...the Genesis version is utter crap, although the graphics seem to be better. It looks like a completely different game.

Used to play this with my Dad when I was a kid. He was always the bald guy, hehe.

Used to find it creepy when I was a kid for some reason though, guess it was the monsters.

And the bosses were real "sweaty hands" moments XD

Great game. This guy's painful to watch though. He's terrible at it. He doesn't even use all the moves at his disposal.

Looks good, I,m sure I played a game on the amiga called last samurai, it was still a side scroller butr it had a sci fi element, it may have even had robots, you had to rescue your family

I loved the third world the most, where you had to face ninjas and other warriors. In fact those two last levels could put most beat 'em up games to shame.
