Agree with trailerfitter2 - seeing as it's quite easy to pull the dash and subsequently the entire heater module, you may as well do it properly. Seen way too many heads warp after using that rad seal stuff...
The heater matrix has 2 rubber o rings on the side which allow the pipes to be connected at 90 degrees... these can leak. I would not advise to use a quick fix leak because the solution can clog up the cooling system. Solutions like this can clog the radiator especially if it is old..The 300tdi and 200tdi engines have small water ways in the head gasket and can become blocked causing problems later. (I have seen this happen). Cheap fixes can become expensive later.. Get it fixed !!!
Yep will agree with people below. It's not a big job really. Would be easy to do it in a weekend. Do it properly blondie !!
