  • Don't understand the guy who says you need a feed??? WTF! We are all born with different body types, would like to see the body builders who pose in my gym try this..lol. Good job my man ;)

  • Holy crap, you are one tough little SOB! Very inspirational.

I will add one constructive criticism, not so much for you, but for beginners who may be watching this. One segment shows him jumping in place on a hill. He is standing transversely on the hill (one leg uphill, one downhill) facing the camera. If you are strong and agile, and alternate sides, that's OK. However it risks ankle injury. (notice he is slow & controlled) Safer to do the same exercise on flatter ground.

    Great video!

  • Wow, really good man!!,but I think you need a good meal.

  • @expressyourselfist There's nothing wrong with my meals, but there is definitely something wrong with the height/width ratio of the video. Something went wrong while uploading this to youtube.

  • @pieterdrk ,no offence at all,you are looking great,I like you videos, looking forward to watching some more,

    Cheers,

  • @pieterdrk yeah you got thinned.

  • Beautiful setting and a fun workout. Please be careful with the elbows being so far out from the body while doing the pushups. It is a bit tough on your shoulder joints.

It is nice to someone being creative and enjoying their workout.

  • Cool!

  • Your calf muscles aree innnsaaaaanne.

    Much respect man, much respect.

  • whats the song name?

  • luv the vid, class.could u tell me the name of this song by fela kuti please, would b most grateful.cheers

  • good workout

  • do most forests have pull up bars?

  • That first excerise looks intense

  • Very cool!

I.v.m. rust dagen tussen trainingsdagen.

  • for the bonus material, where am i gonna find a horizontal tree with vertical dirt/ground?

  • Keep going mate. You are an inspiration to all of us who want real fitness ,not the pumped up magazine type.

  • Excellent - love the Fela Kuti selection as well - your son is awesome as well :)

  • way to move

  • Great music! This routine must work well, you look pretty lean! Great job.

  • THANK YOU TARZAN

  • Wicked vid... wicked music :)

  • Seriously, very interesting, but there's one thing that spoils it all: you start muscle up with a jump, better not do it, but give it your best try, rather than make it look like you do, but , in fact, you don't. No, I'm not fat McDonalds kid, not a keyboard warrior and not a hater. I'm very much into natural fitness, just expressing my opinion.

  • @valgez: I understand your comment, but there are more ways to work up to a real muscle up. This is one way. And it's not intended to make me look like someone who can do a real muscle up. That's why I called it 'a muscle up with a little help'.

  • @valgez Yea natural fitness is awesome. I find it both fun and very physical challenging. I climb trees barefoot all the time. I often walk quadrupedally which is a great exercise. And i only work free weightedly. That way you can stay agile and light. Good stuff.

  • Whats the music, love it

  • @tattoodfreeek Music by Fela Kuti!!!

  • @pieterdrk Your combination of athleticism and knowledge of fitness make this video great. That first exercise alternating single legs on the tree reminds me of a plank variation that looks like that except with your feet on the ground. By the way, that's great advice to not go to until failure but until form is compensated, I wish I had known that before I started exercising.

  • @tattoodfreeek Fela Kuti but he's dead now :P

  • inspiring vidoe. Keep going and keep posting more of these. Great job

  • First exercise is called mountain climbers in the USA.

  • I was recently doing those table jumps in just shorts just like this. It was at a local beauty spot. It was going great and I got up to 9 before the family who were eating their picnic asked me to use a different table. Spoilsports. Great video!

  • @Harlingtonjnr3

    Hahaha

  • awesome workout and music! thanks

  • lol freaky

  • Beautiful forest! When you're doing the muscle-ups, does most of the work come from your arms/upper body, or from your initial jump? Also, love the Fela Kuti!

  • @theturbolemming: In this video it is whole body engagement. (the goal was a short metcon workout), but the legs were pre-fatigued by the other exercises.

  • i like the bonus material xD

  • @MrSnorreke: bedankt! Het bos is in Brabant, bij Leuven.

  • Keep up the good work, this looks like lots of fun.

  • Hi, great vid! Just a question: what does your diet consist in?

  • @plentyofviolence: diet is paleo/primal/ancestral/evolutionary or whatever you like to call it.

  • Great work, very inspiring!

  • simply amazing :) thank you for posting this to remind all of us that the world is a playground and nature is our best gym

  • Good job Pieter! The most impressive part of your video is the image of your son watching you. The positive habits and loving interaction that you share with him will influence him forever. He will grow to be an awesome individual as well. Thank you!

  • I love this kind of training!

thks for the video, nice routine..!

you almost achive a good muscle up, go for it man!!!!!!!!!!!

    greets from mexico

  • great vid dude! i'd like to do all that except run or walk barefeet in in the forest or the street. Any sharp object can prick my feet!

  • Vibram fivefingers is a solution.

  • @mytv80 Why did two people give you thumbs down? I agree with you, careless people drop trash, and there are broken bottles and everything else on the ground these days. Even in the wilderness, there may be fishhooks or other manmade trash. I gave you a thumbs up bro!

  • Hahaha! I'd love to chill with this dude.

  • i like the video

  • and the most important thing, just run theres nothing better than barefoot running in the forest.

(no offense man just my opinion)

  • No offense taken :-)

  • @RobHooray

    Indeeeeed man! :D

Bodyweight training is almost the best training imo and especially the most funniest ^^

Today I ran, then I biked, then I biked some more and climbed trees and small "mountains" lol and also some fysical training, yeah! :D

  • I really dont like the muscle-up, in fact it isnt really a well-performed muscle-up cause you are almost jumping in the position (the first one).

I appreciate your workout but its defintily not primal, you just changed the location you could do all these exercises at home.

A primal workour means adaption. Just be natural. Climb on trees, carry heavy branches, crouch, do some quadropole movement, balance, try deep landings, crawl,

  • RobHooray,

indeed it is not a muscle up, because I can't do one... ;-) It is a way of working up to one. That's why I called it a 'muscle up with a little help'.

Normally I really do some more 'real' primal movements, like the ones you mention. Both of my videos were entrances for a contest.

The exercises in this clip were actually chosen so that people living in the city could also do them.

  • NIce work out. NO shoes? That IS primal! Grok On!!!

  • good warm up wonder what he does after that

  • I'm happy for you that this is only your warm up. The goal of this clip was to have a 15-20 minute bodyweight circuit.

  • Where did to make this video? That forest is gorgeous.

  • awesome video and set of exercises, the inclines are deceiving and difficult! Thanks

  • Those exercises and the place you did them in are awesome! Thanks for posting this.

You're doing a good thing by setting such a positive healthy example for Aster.

  • Excellent Vid - and just the COOLEST music!

  • Glad you like it. And yes Fela Kuti is the coolest. If you don't know him, check him out.

  • uh oh... shirts off,.... we're all in trouble now!!! =) Great video!
