I'm so glad I watched both parts of this video, I almost bought Miniature Painting Secrets with Natalya, thanks Chris! I really like her, think her style is very good and her minis are amazing but now I see this DVD set is absolute rubbish. Sad day for the beautiful Natalya and CMON.

Boy! do I agree strongly!!! When she said at the begining "Its impossible to explain how I did it...". That was the biggest flag at how bad the rest of the stuff was going to be. I even felt compelled to create my own videos.

this maybe be answered int he secound part, but what is wrong with dry brushing? its the only trick I know and it makes some nice effects at times

I really, really appreciate a frank review. Whether it's good or bad, I want a no-holds-barred review. What is good/what is bad etc., etc., etc. Without such reviews, you get 'duped" into spending hard earned money for a crappy product. I want value for my money. I grew up watching Bob and I totally agree with your assessment that the main ability that he had was transmitting his ideas and techniques in a simple and ease manner. It left the viewer feeling that he could do it.

wow ... i just the first of your two review videos ... and i'm afraid it's as bad as the tutorial you reviewed. while i appreciate the info and clarification regarding the shortcomings of said product, the way you did it wasn't very helpful.

then again, i'm more a miniatures collector than a painter, so why someone would get so worked up about a bad/mediocre tutorial is beyond me. cheers.

I like your videos Chris, i like your guides, BUT this is enough, you are very bad actor. You told us that this is bad DVD with same expresion as "omg people, end of the world is comming".

Thanks for saving my money, i wanted to buy this DVD untill now, but i may take 5 - 10 minutes to tell everybody that this DVD is not best buy. Why almost 30 minutes.

@Soulcaresser2 We're done filming Let's Paint sets this year. We're beginning work starting in November on DVD's 4 through 12 (we've already finished 1 through 3). My HOPE is that we'll be completely done with filming by the end of January and hopefully my editor will get them back to me by April. I've then got to get some testimonials to print on the back cover, so we're shooting for mid June.
