Yeah, it's Gen 1 Prowl. He was an Army Jeep. I had the original figure. I agree. Bays Transformers are too over the top, with all those needlesssly moving parts. They would not be solid like the Gen 1 Transformers. The TF movies need a reboot. They need to be Gen 1 designs. I didn't like the changes. Like making Prime a Mac instead of a Peterbuilt and Bumble Bee from a VW Bug to a Camaro.

n the G1transformers design. I think the Michael Bay designs are more stylized and complexes, but the G1 tranformers are the best ever. That´s my opinion. Thanks for your comment.

@alzarac3d In my opinion, they're too complex. It's good to know that Dreamworks can make CGI movies that aren't about green ogres, but some characters are almost unrecognizable. Sure, G1 was primative and simple, but it was recognizable. If Transformers gets rebooted, I'm hoping that this is one of the things that they fix.

@PunchSydeiron you are right I like the old desing because the simplicity make the robots recognizable. I saw the last movie (transformers 3) and I must admit that I felt lost in some shots because I didn´t knew which one was the good guy or the bad guy. Btw, I like the characters for the videogame Transformers War for Cybertron, those characters looks perfect, if there will be a movie or a new transformers tv series, the design must be based on this game. The detail is well balanced.

Altenators are not the best, the Binaltech series was the best. Same as Altenators, but they were Diecast. Its G1 bodies with current car parts. New cars disguised as 80s robots, now thats cool.

@Dzillaa you're right. Rollbar, Hound and Swindle alternators are the same, the only change is the color. I have done this animation based on the real swindle alternator toy, but I didn't like the yellow color, so I chose the red one for this video.

I like your transformation video better than the transformer movie.  Your video allows the car to actually transform and still be credible while the Michael Bay transformers almost feel like they are disassembling and not transforming.

@bummers thanks for you comment. The transformation of my robot is based completly on the real toy (alternator Swindle) I think, this toy is a master piece. About the Michael Bay transformation I think that the problem is in the camera direction, because the camera always is near the robot and the movements are to fast. Thanks again for your comment.

@pesmerga011 In 3ds max it is called Render in Wire... It is no so complicated to do, you just need to assign this option to the material and that´s all. The rest is compositing in any software you like, to mix the color one with the wire one.
