Do you do IB?

CAS is Creativity, Action, Service and it is a requirement of the IB program. If you do not do it and do not get satisfactory then you fail IB and do not get a diploma.

If you do IB, I suggest you look into it quickly!

How do you kids struggle with IB? Pro tip, buy the study guide. I did absolutely no work in IB, studied the day before exams from the guide. Got 5's and 6's in all my courses and 3 credits towards university. It's honestly a scam.

Tip for other IB students out there:

assign one 'note-taker' per class, and that person takes, types up, and posts notes into a facebook group. change 'note-takers' every day. When test time comes, you'll have a complete database of notes, all digitalized.

@blueinkheart2 Listen, IB is doable. As an IB senior, I can tell you that at some points, the work is gonna seem overwhelming. You might have to make some choices as to priority classes to do homework/projects for. IB teachers know that, they know how rigorous the program is. My advice is STAY ON TOP of your work. Yes, you can have a social life, but you need to prioritize. And in the end, you'll realize that you're so much better prepared for college than many highschool kids.

@Flamer2203 IB is not hard. Not at all, but the fact is that it's completely pointless and is not recognised in quite some states. Only the Commonwealth recognises it openly, but for the rest of the world it is practically unknown, luckily!

Anyhow the programme is simply bad, inducing to a poor specialisation and not even accomplishing the aims that the IBO has in its propaganda. It does not make you "inquire" or "challenge" it's a simple matter of "you must do this otherwise you're screwed".

@Blasthood I know you commented a long time ago, but I thought I'd add that all IB Seniors I knew that have moved on to college told me they were better prepared than the other students there. Obviously if you just do the IB work to do the work and make no effort to learn a work ethic, it's going to be a pointless experience. Some establishments may also not correctly implement the IB program, I agree. In my opinion however, it offers more good than bad.
