  • this is not a very original series and not moths fantasy behint those fantasy animals and those wanerby professors are not very convincing !!

  • XD cool3

  • it really baffles me how the most general comments are top comments.

  • ludzie to jest jeden wielki żart i największe gówno tego świata, jeżeli teraz nie padniemy to za 100milionów lat nie będzie tlenu żeby cokolwiek nim oddychało....

  • hahaha.....these people remind me of Medieval Chroniclers who never saw a(n) an elephant or sea monster but yet still drew them.

  • So science is now disregarding facts completely, nice to know. The top predator of an ice age Europe will be canine if Europeans manage to kill out their entire population of bears. These “scientist” are saying, “all wildlife management programs will fail and on top of that we will somehow (because we are evil planet destroying humans) kill all species of feral animals." Really?

  • I remember watching this a long time ago at a friend's house!

  • @3godmortal Yeah,I know but I was refering to the show overall, and it goes up to 200 milion year in the future. The last episode is awsome tough.

  • The gannet-whale was awsome though.

  • I'm sorry scientist, but nature had more imagination than you.Look what awsome animals live in the past, like a teenage boy's fantasy:gorgons, dinosaurs, giant shark etc.

  • Another verse describes how “God has created every animal from water. Of them are some that creep on their bellies, some that walk on two legs, and some that walk on four. God creates what He wills, for truly God has power over all things” (Qur'an 24:45). These verses support the scientific theory that life began in the earth's oceans. Allah the almighty God has explained tht all His creations are from water(Oceans) they Evolved and will always be depends on Earth's situation.

  • @TaikiAzuran It has been known for millenia that life needs, and contains, a lot of water. That's not something allah revealed, mostly because he doesn't exist. The greeks had come up with the idea that life evolved, a few thousand years ago too. And to say the particles that make up the universe were joined together in a cloud and then exploded...is not the big bang.

  • The Qur'an describes that all particles that make up the universe were joined together in one celestial cloud before they were “cloven asunder” or exploded. In the same verse, the Qur'an says God “made from water every living thing” (Qur'an 21:30). #scientificfactsinIslam

  • 11:47 didn´t know Philip Seymour Hoffman is also a scientist :)

  • i <3 gannet whales!1!!!!!

  • y cant this how b on netflix? it is amazing and shood b.

  • 14:30 "unpossible" is not a word...what an idiot

  • @TheUTubeRebel yes "unpossible" IS a word, but it´s not used very often in common language. It means: "even more impossible than impossible".

How about doing some research first, before calling someone an "idiot" (esp. if he´s a scientist)?

    lmao

  • underwater life looks nasty

  • aww those rodents are so cute they look like beavers : D

  • eeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww he puke! At least it defended the chick.

  • WTF why is slipknot a tag?

  • I'm Christian, but I totally respect Atheists for who they are. I believe in God, they don't, I'm fine with that.

  • @mic12397 nobody asked...

  • What's a snowstalker?

  • AAAHH!!!!!! IT'S A SABERTOOTH WOLVERINE!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • have humans all migrated into space by now or what,... where are they?

  • @Superdude899v1 extinct

  • @Superdude899v1 They all wound up having massive orgies everywhere and everyone eventually died of a million different STDs.

  • @Superdude899v1 as the species humans as we know today exist from about 1,5 milion years. After some time of couple of millions years there will be no humans ON EARTH - as every other species we die or change in something else. Humans may survive in space in that time due to relative time effect, maybe. Remember - we are not eternal. We're just kind of animals (according to sience, apologies to all believers)

  • @Superdude899v1 They've either left the planet or extinct due to a lack of resources, collapse of civilisation and "super-bugs".

  • @Ballyorca Super-bugs won't be there for another 100 million years :)

  • I swear to god the narrators voice is a dead ringer of Pilot from Farscape

  • i remember seeing this on tv but i am almost certain it was at least twice as long

  • I like how the two gannet whales in the back are like... STFU!

  • I was 9 when The Future is WIld showed a day before Spore released. I was dead excited for its release, now I have it... (my name is Brixmon on Spore) I'm a huge nerd, game and science. So when TFiW showed, I was also "dead excited". I barely remember this, so when I found it here, guess how I felt?

  • @sporecreatorperson I remember this being out before spore did though? Couple years before that.

  • @ChickenConPolloHD Oh, I meant the special.

  • Either the snowstalker is puny as hell or the gannetwhale is very huge

  • @TheVelociraptor15 The last one

  • Emperor penguims: The TRUE big daddies. (=

  • poor, poor, pooor, frozen paris. )'=

  • this is lies...good thing I check youtube before I decided to buy this on amazon :D

  • @idreamdaily not really

  • @indistructicow i didnt mean it that way lol. i meant i couldnt believe that they actually had this show on youtube :D

  • @idreamdaily oh... alright :D

  • wow wtf im serioulsy fucking tired of youtube posting fucking adds.........

  • why do gamuts do well in this timeline when penguins where already adapted to living in the water?

  • i was hoping for land sharks

  • damn future you scary

  • the whole snowstalker vs. whale-bird thing make no sense. The things can barely move. All the snowstalker had to do was go to one on the end of the line, so it doesn't get sideswiped by the beak of another bird, run behind it, and snatch the egg. It could just waltz around behind the fat things, taking all the eggs it wants before they'd even be able to turn around.

  • @rayrayluver Remember, those Snowstalkers (who have a very good sense of smell) won't come close if those things were spewing foul smelling vomit at them.

  • 08:54 it like a wooly saber-tooth cat

  • A sabertoothed wolverine? ... Is that just me, or is somebody making a really nerdy joke here? xD

  • @WireMosasaur Probably. Mind you, its likely that only the sabre-toothed fearure is improbable due to the jaw angle, etc. and the thought of lower Carnivora (weasels, wolverines) taking the roles of upper Carnivora (dogs, cats, bears) is not that implausible.

  • @mymikeyang true so true

  • @2.23. where,s the uk gone? shit i,d better sell my house quick.

  • Hmm...this hypothetical future looks awesome!

  • Goddammit a sight of an emperor penguin always reminds me of my boss. Lol

  • this only possble is nature causes complete chaos, pole shift and the annihilation of the human race forever

  • animals of the future? you still can't mess with the prehistoric animals such as the dinosaurs!!! :D :D

  • I thought Cynodont's were a relly cool evolutionary branch......and Polar bears were perfectly adaptable to survive in the future. Prrobably humans cause for their extinction though........plus, in my opinion, sabre teeth are not needed for a creature. Even Gorgonopsids like Smilodon look weird with them, and claws or average sized teeth would sill work better.

  • @TriassicEvolution Since when are smilodons gorgonopsids?

  • @TriassicEvolution Gorgonopsids were Therapsids (Mammal like reptiles) that lived in the Permian (250 million years ago) and became extinct. Smilodon was a Sabretoothed Cat and a Mammal. Its kind were around from 2.5 million years ago - 10,000 years ago. I hope you made a typo error and that you don't actually believe this - Gorgonopsids and Smilodon were from 2 DIFFERENT evolutionary backgrounds

  • I thought Cynodont's were a relly cool evolutionary branch......

  • the voice of Planet Earth would be much better on this one

  • I definitely prefer the American broadcast of this program.

  • If you reject evolution, you reject the idea of a caring, meticulous creator. Who would you rather follow, a God who just threw everything together and called it a day or a God who took the time to enjoy the creative process? Creationists want a universe that revolves around humanity so God had to rush to get to humans. If we're made in God's image, then God must have taken the time to enjoy each atom, each star, each cell as He was creating it; that's what we would do.

  • @Theroha ewww. christian evolutionists

  • @Legitimatemuffins Yes, and girls are icky. Very mature.

  • @Theroha my point exactly! i dont want their cooties

  • @Theroha I don't understand what you're trying to say....

  • @Theroha I agree with evolution, and for a large part with you, but I think a benevolent god wouldn't use evolution to get the species he wanted, seeing how this would require more than 90% of his creations to go extinct.

  • @camobeast100 Whether god is benevolent or not is another argument all together as far as I'm concerned. Technically, I'm agnostic, and much of my efforts on videos like this are to drag fundamentalist Christians out of the Dark Ages and get hard core atheists to stop bashing people of faith. The details of religion people can and have been argued over for centuries, but in simple terms of whether there is or is not a deity, atheists are the same as theists. No proof either way.

  • @Theroha Most atheits don't claim that a god doesn't or can't excist. They simply claim that because of the little evidence there is for god's existence, it's unreasonable to belief that god does exist. This is different from most theists, who claim with 100% certainty that god DOES exist.

The reason Atheists critize religious faith is because it's unreasonable and often makes people do stupid things.

  • @Theroha With my earlier comment, I meant to say that the type of evolution proposed by theists (guided evolution) is unreasonable, because an omnibenevolent god wouldn't use a tactic that requires suffering and the extinction of most species and takes billions of years.

For more information about this subject, check ShackySurgeon's video ''God And Evolution Are Not Compatible''

  • @camobeast100 If God wouldn't use such a tactic, then why is nature in such a state right now?

  • @TheKatamariguy Because god doesn't exist and everything around us is the product of evolution.

  • @camobeast100 Proof that God doesn't exist? They didn't believe in atoms back then, too. Besides, I'm a theistic evolutionist.

  • @TheKatamariguy I didn´t say evolution disproves the existence of a deity, I simply said that the god described in the Bible/Torah/Qoran (sorry if I spelled it wrong) couldn´t have anything to do with evolution. Also, why are you assuming that nature could not POSSIBLY have been the way it is without the existence of a god? (sorry if I took that out of context).

  • @camobeast100 I dunno, evolution is a hell of a way to create life. Who's to say how others would go about creating the universe.

  • @TheKatamariguy He could have created life the way creationists claim (I´m not saying he did, I´m simply saying that it would be a more efficient way to create life for an omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent being.

I still don´t think you understand my point. Why would an omnibenevolent being guide most of his creations into extinction?

  • @TheKatamariguy Let me ask you: If god is omnipotent, omniscient and omnibenevolent, why would he create the species he wants by first making millions of species go extinct? Also, in case you´re a christian, jew or muslim, why would he lie to his creations by telling them he created them out of thin air thousands of years ago when that clearly didn´t happen?

  • im pretty sure evoulotion will get it in someday

  • I prefer to call it adaption, not evolution, evolution implies chance.

  • @vampirelegend how so?

  • i like this seris

  • evoloution has alredy been proven with single celled organisims damit!

you here on the news of the flu mutations every year this is what i call evoloution!

    no! evoloution on speed!

sorry i spelled wrong the first time

  • evoloution has alredy been proven with single celled organisims damit!

you here on the news of the flu mutations every year this is what i call evoulion!

    no! evoloution on speed!

  • i belive in god but evoloution make a lot more sense than the made up story of creation, evouloution is alredy been considered a proven fact due to overwelming evidence such as our embryos the fossil record and our dna codes

  • that isnt true gorgonopsians had saber teeth too!

god these people dont think about every detail

  • @do501 I think their statement, "This is the first time that another group of carnivores have evolved saberteeth" was saying that the snowstalker is the first time we've seen this adaptation since the saber-toothed cats. Also, most people watching this probably haven't heard of gorgonopsids, but they probably are at least aware of the existence of saber-toothed cats.

  • @Theroha Don't want to be an a-whole but the Gorgonopsids lived before the dinosaurs as far as I know! Sabre-teeth lived after the dinosaurs

  • @Junius01 That's really just nitpicking now. I don't think you're an A-hole. Just remember that shows like this were made more for the benefit of the common man and not for experienced paleontologists. They include information that people will recognize immediately. If they talked about Gorgonopsids, they would probably have to give a more complete explanation than they would for saber-toothed cats.

  • that isnt true gorgonopsians had saber teeth too!

god these people dont think about every detail

  • Maybe they came from from apes ? Where did the Giraffe come from or the seahorse or a turtle . All came from the same place ... GOD ,, dont ever forget it . Once they are gone you try to make another one !

  • @recordsplus oh dear

  • evolution is a myth created by our government , if we evolved from apes for instance why are there still apes ?

  • @recordsplus If we came from adam and eve why, are there apes?

  • @recordsplus actully we evolved from extinct apes like australopithicus, not apes like the chimp and you may think you know what your talking about but before you comment you should learn a little first , thats like me insulting a religion before i know anything about it eccept a few things, if you do that your bound to get burned

  • @recordsplus were not evolved from apes like we know today, both the apes of the present as well as us, evolved from a common, ancestor, so apes and human branched off at some point in evolution. But I dont even know why I tell you this, since the lone purpose of all these comments seem to be for trolling ;-)

  • @recordsplus no, no, we evolved from a mutant proto ape (common ancestor) and then that mutation stood, and futher mutations amongst that off branch, and walla. It wasn't short nor easy, and they didn't know shit. IT took 4.5 billion yeras for us..this..to happn, from a cell...made by whatever..union or shit...to beocme this..humanit.

  • What a shame that people who made this had such limited imagination...

  • @alphakristjan Its not a whole lot of imagination put into this. This is mostly facts and realy close predictions of what evelution might do to keep species alive. But yes I would like to see Hippo rex to...

  • Comment removed

  • evolution is a fact, its indisputable... who can say the same for jesus the magician?

  • Are the writers of this episode fans of X-Men? Wolverine evolving into Sabre-toothed bear?

  • these are gods new creations god wont leave the earth bearing he replaces us when wear gone in heaven

  • @urantiruslan if God cared so much about us, why wouldn't he have saved us from extinction?

  • these are gods new creations when man fails or when we leave . god will replace us with squids !

  • @LvnAction

Oh be quiet, you don't even know what you're saying.

  • wait theres more than 1 episode of this? i thought it was one big episode on THE BEST OF ANIMAL PLANET 4 years ago lol

  • Fascinating! Thanks for posting.

  • Oh and why why WHY do they always have to give the predators real lion/tiger growls and roars? ONLY tigers, lions and a few other big cats sound like that. Not bears, not canines, not hyenas, not crocodiles, not birds of prey... but when it's movie predators, they always have to have that very unique tiger/lion growl. So annoying.

  • 15:35 - Don't forget the Ichtyosaurs - they were completely fish-like reptiles, that evolved away from laying eggs, and instead gave birth to live young, which allowed them that really fish-like shape. These birds could do the same.

  • The bowtie is an evolutionary throwback.

  • The bowtie is an evolutionary throwback.

  • ya go christananity it kicks your monkey buts

  • the intro looks like primeval's intro

  • Guys just shut UP! This is just a video of evolution, a WHAT IF! So religious people, if you think evolution is a lie, then fine, just dont bother people who do believe. get on with your life.

  • Is it me or is the Hog animals sound like Covenant aliens from Halo 3? Thumbs up if you agree, :S

  • Is it me or is the Hog animals sound like Covenant aliens from Halo 3? Thumbs up if you agree, :S

  • i really hate all these religious arguements. if you want to be pedantic then point out the incredible odds of mammals evolution over millions of years, including the extinction events, to eventually create us. i like to think not that god created the world 6000 years ago but instead subtly infuencing evolution. though, it is just my personal belief.

  • Too bad we'll never know if the ppl behind this video are right

  • @mymikeyang They might be, but this is if humans never existed in the first place. But I see your point

  • @mymikeyang

science never tries to be "right". it just tries to figure out as much as it can with as much as it has.

  • @mymikeyang Unless if we do become ghosts and if we do become ghosts and they live forever then we will know :D

  • @mymikeyang i doubt they are, EXCEPT for ice ages

  • haven't you kids had enough wasting your time arguing over who's right and wrong about the whole evolution thing? let's all grow up, respect each other's beliefs and enjoy the show... otherwise, please go somewhere else and stop wasting all this space. i, personally, like this show for the animation, life science and imagination. why does it matter what i believe when i watch this? why argue about it? it won't change anyone's mind and i'd just look like a loud mouth idiot! peace

  • Whats wierd is how i remember some of these things from when i was about 5

  • Whats wierd is how i remember some of these things from when i was about 5 o.o

  • it's funny that all these clips come with evolution debates on the comment posts. It's amazing how ignorant people are.

  • Dude, its like the creates from avatar the last airbender

  • I love science-fiction documentaries. Anybody remember the name of the one about the three probes that went to the alien planet?

  • @TheSolitaryPoet

    Darwin IV?

  • @TheSolitaryPoet the name of the show is Alien Planet, that originally aired on the Discovery Channel. =)

  • @TheSolitaryPoet alien planet?

  • @TheSolitaryPoet ya its called Alien Planet

  • @TheSolitaryPoet Oh, I remember that one! I was really little when I saw it and was scared shitless of the things following the robots.

  • I believe in God and evolution BUT I don't think that youtube is really the best place too get into a discussion of theology.

    Also coolest doc ever.

  • I believe in God and evolution BUT I don't think that youtube is really the best place too get into a discussion of theology.

    Also coolest doc ever.

  • Most badass name for a docu ever lol

  • What the hell did youtube change so that when you switch to full screen it has to reload the video?! Honestly, can't the interwebs leave well enough alone?!?"!?!?!?!?!?!?! I used to switch to full screen all the time smoothlike, now when I do my slow ass internet gets all "Miss THAAANG" and slaps that load bar all the way down.

  • People have to stop talking about god here. Evolution is a proven, scientific fact, not just some theory. It's funny that most people who think evolution is false believe that some cosmic super being created everything in a few days. Evolution is almost compleetly proven, but there is absolutely no prove that creationism is true.

  • God save us from all religions

  • @arranobeltzaz agreed, sometimes I wish everyone just believed in the same thing

  • @arranobeltzaz there's nothing wrong with religeous people. its stuborn (shut up, im dislexic) twats that are annoying. im atheist and SOME OF the most stuborn people ive met are atheists. but you're right people shouldnt press their beleifs apon us, its just fucking annoying

  • lol the song reminds me of the amazing race if u listin in the background it kinda sounds like the amazing race

  • Oddly enough, I've never seen someone gain or lose faith because of arguments. Faith, or its lack, is between a person and what they believe in. Period. The silly argument of evolution's accuracy is meaningless, and no one is going to change their beliefs over anyone standing on a soapbox and being rude. Do your research (honestly), make up your mind, and move on. This program was a cognitive exercise. If thinking bothers you, then by all means don't think.

  • there is only 1 way to try to find out if this is real...lets build a time machine!! :P

  • I love how every single evolution-related video has to end up with chirstrolls annoying the crap out of everyone.

I find this scientifical speculative series very interesting, it's cool to imagine all different things that could possibly take place.

  • This music makes me feel like I'm in a Banjo Kazooie game...

  • @scampynoXD yea shut the fuck up.

  • I hate the names of the animals in this series. I feel like they're so unoriginal.

  • The evolution won't stop, with humans being extinct or not.

  • @thanatos8618 Yup.

  • even then Chuck Norris will be alive and kicking

  • 14:00 I do not agree that ALL marine mammals will have become extinct! Certainly certain species will have, but I think the Beluga, Narwhale and Dolphin have excellant chances of surviving, especially into 5 million years from now.

Beluga and Dolphins especially. The former because of it's reclusive and high latitude-style living which makes it less vulnerable to human tampering and the later because of it's high intelligence and adaptability.

  • it would be nice if, when he talks of temperature, he gives a unit of measurement. I mean.. to me, -60 means celsius. But.. still. Giving a unit of measurement is standard practice in a show like this is trying to be.

  • THe narrators voice is really cool.
