  • We had something very similar to this at my elementary school playground back in the 80's. Ours was about 6' tall so it was a bit bigger. We would have 10 kids climbing on that thing at the same time and it held us all up without any problem.

  • Doesn't look too difficult to fabricate. 1/2" galvanized electrical conduit and I'm guessing relatively thin galvanized sheet metal for the circle connectors, thin enough to pound the one sided slots to meet the flattened conduit. Nuts and bolts and black paint for the connectors. The rest is figuring out the math. Sweet! A glass dome still stands in the woods where I used to play, it was built by a student of Bucky's in the mid '60's! "Don't throw stones" was always the joke.
