i have the htc hd mini and i can tell yu that windows mobile is the worst thing . there s a lot of problems, the applications are so bad . so dont buy a windows mobile phone. the best phones are the iphone, blackberry and android phones.

Yeah you can store apps on the storage cards that you put in - that's the whole point of the storage card! :)

You can download apps directly from your phone as well, assuming the phone has WiFi, so nah, you don't need a PC. You can install apps using a PC if you want, but installing via .CAB file on your phone can be done easily too.

That's mostly because it's an early build, so not the final version, actually XDA developer's isn't even part of microsoft, they are just some tech geeks doi ng AWESOME thing's for windows mobile.

To make thing's more clear microsoft even considered sueing xda for making these prebuilds. Not sure if they actually did sue them or not.

It's the same with Windows mobile. If you go to "file manager" and open the windows folder you can see that Calender, Media player, Contacts, search... are only .EXE files. The icons you press on the start menu are only shortcuts too, just like on the iphone...

It's nice to see that MS is doing something, and has seen that their mobile os is not optimal at all, but i think that they should find a way to inovate, bring never before seen features, if they want to take back a big part of the market. i mean, the finger friendly notification bar makes me think of android, the auto complete as well as the keyboard too, the magnifing glass from the iphone, the menu is kind of "android drawer"... i'm not convinced, even if it is the best WM yet

All this hate towards different OSes is getting on my nerves. Windows Mobile is generally better for those who like openness and customization (and can live with it stability issues every now and then), iPhone OS is for those who like it smooth and simple (and expensive). Just because you dislike one or another doesn't make it bad, obsolete, suck, or whatever.

I think WM6.5 is a huge improvement over WM6.1, like it needs to be, and I really hope WM7 will be faster and more stable..

MS is doing an excellent job again copying the features of the iPhone, however Apple and Google Chrome will always be ahead due to a better structured and thus faster and more efficient base OS. WM is gonna be obsolete within a few years.

The ZuneHD will be one of the first mobile Tegra powered devices which is said to be released in September, maybe soon after so I imagine more Tegra devices soon after that. With that said, nVidia have already stated that they're already at work on the next wave of Tegra devices that will be 4x more powerful than the ones released this year.
