People say the minimum tanks size for these fish and really get extreme about it, theyre alot of nanos out their successful with small angels and clowns etc. I love the Coral Beauty and the rock set up looks like it will be nice for coral. :]
OMG! 14 gallons!! Whoa it's gonna CRASH HARD, you need 50 gallons for the coral beuty and 30 for the clown so 50 would be the min i'd do it, your gonna stun your fish's growth and you plan to add a blue tang!!?! Are you CRAZY, they need 75 + gallons each!
This is a 29g tank. I have a 360g reef that those fish are in now this was temporay like ive said before dont get your panties in a twist i know what size tank a fish needs.
@clownkeeper27 you are one hell of a noobie! the blue tang needs 125 plus gallons and the angelfish needs 30. clownfish are fine in 14 gallon tanks unless they are maroon or part of the tomato complex
if i was u id get rid of those damsels there horrible fish they attack each other then turn on the other fish especially when they are older i know this as it happened in my tank i also work at an aquatic store.
No one is an expert in this field (Alfonsizzle), there is always something to learn. Beautiful angelfish I want one really bad, but have not been able to find one that looks this nice.
acually that is a 15 gallon high so it is ok for that angel because they are small thats all they are going to get im an expert with saltwater fish i've been dong it 17 years i think i would know.
thats what i was thinking...the guy at the store said he is fine because im transfering all these fish to a 180g reef tank that im going to set up in a month or 2...this was to get me started with saltwater and get my familier...thanks for your concern though
yes its not a big deal all you do is take it off...once you break it in its not as hard to take it off cause at first it really sticks on there lol...and if you wanna keep the top open when you are working on it there are two little supports that go up into the top and hold it up for you just in case you didnt know...LOL good luck
i was originally going to get the biocube 29. then i came across forums where ppl upgraded filter, lights, and added skimmer. so i thought i might try the jbj 28 hqi. i am a beginner, so what do you think?
well me being a beginner in saltwater myself i say get the jbj 28 HQI...its a great tank and i love it i just added some new fish today ill put some more videos up soon...it is top of the line and can support anything you want to get in the hobby any coral you want any fish(for the size of the tank)
i wound reccommend the tank a lot its a nice cut of your pay check but its worth it once its all set up...i live in southern california and its hot so come summer i need to get a chiller thats the only thing you need and only if you live in a hot climate...any other questions just let me know...have fun with the hobby..later
i don't know where Socal is but i lie in pa and my neighbors reef tank need a chiller b/c his lighting is so intense it heats the water up to much. Nice coral beauty i want to get one.
