Mado Robin was an extraordinary singer and her voice was unique and one of a kind. What she did was not what you heard fom the average singer.Few coloraturas could sing as high as she did Lots of folks did not understand or comprehend how special the voice was. She was able to equal any feathered songster with her upper range and had the precision of a laser beam with those stratospheric high notes .She stands alone and is incomparable. you either get it or you don't! I adore her!

This is so hard to sing! And to sing it in a part of the voice that is so hard to control! Mado is a master of her art and one of very few people to have such a voice and this LIVE rendition is perhaps the best version of it I have heard her sing despite the cruel conductor racing through the penultimate cadenza! She is between a human and an angel!
