  • i don't like this version :(

  • Eddie fucking Nichols, great band, one of the coolest cats ever

  • the mask brought me here

  • @shuchan23 and me as well! :)) Such a good thing that I had decided to watch it and then I discovered them! :D

  • These guys are super cheesy. The lead singer is total douche who walks around acting/talking like a total idiotic 1940s cliche "hey, how bout them dames hey."

  • @MrRsnyder717 .... that's the point don't you think? since this music orignated in the 30s and 40s. Maybe you should do some research before posting your comments here. its called style and these guys pulled it off! :D

  • @ilovefluffysheep Do some research? I've seen these guys play at the Derby and other venues in LA many times in the 1990s. I know about the scene very well. The swing scene is great, but most people in the 1940s did NOT wear zoot suits and act like a walking cliche.

  • @MrRsnyder717 well i'm sure that you are one of those selected individuals that know a lot about the scene and i'm not dissing you for it! however i'm sure also a LOT of people do not know about this type of scene or the type of style. so why not go over the top? you can't expect everyone to know what the real style is, its meant to be fun, its not meant to be completely historical!

  • W*O*N*D*E*R*F*U*L swing.

  • Luv this band. Luv the swing music. Luv Luv Luv the energy !

  • Folks, this is the first video from their first VINYL LP back in 1990 — I remember when we all saw this for the first time back then, we were blown away. We immediately booked them for some San Francisco gigs, and before you know it, the whole Swing Scene of the 1990s exploded. All because of RCR. So, go chase yourselves!

  • what happen to the cooler video for this song?????????

  • Amazing... I directed this video! Just found it by random... great to see it and to see the rcr are still going!

  • hmmm I think I like Reloaded better. this is a tad to mellow!

  • When i hear the maracas i go!!!....... sheep sheeky boom, sheep sheeky boom, sheep sheeky boom!!!!!!!!!

  • go eddie Nichols sooooooooooooooo good

  • aww i dont know if i like this version

  • Yes this is them...there is better version of this song remade. The song from the Mask is Hey Pachucco!

  • Aren't these guys the band in the Mask?

  • @MadFranandfriends Yessirie, they are. They preform Hey Pachuco during the dance scene I believe.

  • @MarchingTheBeat And Cuban Pete at the scene with the police ;)

  • V8Deuce is right--RCR @ The Blue Cafe preceded the early 90's swing revival. And BSO.

  • Later version of this song is much better... but it's so cool to hear the earlier!

  • Which ones the later version, the one on 'The Contender?'

  • Ya I believe so, or perhaps the one they did on the live album.... stamp at the mint (or title to that effect)

  • @broadblik "Zip Gun Bop (Reloaded)"

  • hi bobski

  • o wow. even before the Wednesday nite derby days. such a gorgeous video. wow. rowr!

  • this song is so so cooool. so cool you get frostbite.

  • (Sniff) why didnt you tell me that earlier? jk u tyas for the vid mak.

  • Espectacular, este swing es maravilloso.

    Awesome, thanks for uploading.

  • ey guys n girls, i need some help.

i´m not sure what i´m looking fore.

talked to a friend, he called what i wanted, jazzy mambo swing. and this here is really good, but i want something heavyer... maby more jazz...dont know

    any tips?

  • hey bro, maybe i'm a bit late given it's been 3 months since you've posted this, but try and check out the brian setzer orchestra for a heavier jazzy/swing/bigband thing!

  • And where do you think Setzer got the idea for his "Big Band"?

  • glen miller, count basie, bing crosby et al.

  • Not at all. He went to a place called the Blue Cafe in Long Beach one night - heard RCR play - even got up on stage. He commented how awesome he thought this sound was - a year later he performed at a place called The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano , the papers advertised it as the BSO - and the rest is history. RCR doesn't get the credit they deserve.

  • Whatever you say, mister!

  • Not as good as the version recorded later, I heard the Stern Bros. were embezzling money from the band.

  • They were actually busy with another project and didn't have time to dedicate to RCR. So they were replaced.

  • Nice to see my old club on film with all my old friends. What Good Times!!!!
