Hmm... The plot of this movie is kind of sucky! I mean, they killed much bigger and badder monsters in the tournament, like the Dark Tournament and the final episodes of Yu Yu Hakusho! Its weak, why didn't koenma change into a teenager instead of stay as a baby? This is confusing... is this before all of that?

It was released in America as part of a double-pack with a Ninku movie. I got it at Best Buy, but this was years ago in the early 2000s, they definitely don't have it now.

i wouldn't say that.. DB all the way to DBGT has their moments, Tenchi has their moments, bleach, Cowboy Bebop, ronin warriors, and others. YYH is one of the best animes of all time. dont make the show OVERATED.

eh i think its a tie for me at least narutos badass in its own right and so is yu yu hakusho but what keeps yu yu hakusho in the game for me is partly the nostalgic feeling of watching it

Yu Yu Hakusho's far greater than Naruto. Naruto used to be good during its first saga, then it made a major fall and was just a generic anime for pre-teens who enjoy watching cheezy geeky crap with teenage "ninjas". Also the creator is very unoriginal and always takes ideas from other things. Also, these days, the Narutard chapters are always dragging long. Yu Yu Hakusho is faaaaaaar superior based on originality, the only flaw is the manga artist's art skills compared to other artists.

Being unoriginal's nothing to do with Shonen Jump, it's the mangaka who creates the manga that causes things to go the way they are. Naruto is terrible, deal with it. Only Japanophiles are still obsessed with it while everyone else got over the stupid anxiety teenage bullshit from that series. Deal with the fact Naruto's half assed and go look at much more better and original manga. And it's nice you like YYH's art style, I only said it was a flaw compared to Naruto's, everything else is better.

i think both the dub and the original japanese are both good. because, really, the japanese is how they originally intended them to sound like (they are 14 after all, so they arent supposed to sound so mature). but this is the only anime i have ever seen where the dub is actually pretty good (there are dubbings out there that SUCK HELL) the dub is awesome, and the japanese is awesome too :)

Rhe voice actors for the English version may not be exactly what their saying in the Japanese, but it sounds much better. They all sound 5 years younger then they should.

you guys don't understand, the english version movie came out way before funimation decided to bring yu yu hakusho over. If i remember correctly, the movie came out somewhere in the early 90's . i remember my brother buying it on vhs tape. I was so excited when my brother bought one of the dbz movies in the later 90's and it showed previews of yu yu hakusho coming over to america. This was a great series.

The first two movies came to the US before Funimation dubbed the series which is why the first two movies had sucky english voice actors.
