It's shocking to me that there is even competition between any of the presidential candidates. Ron Paul is clearly the best. His policies are solid, his message is clear, and his motives are pure. His competition supports ridiculous ideas for this countries future, or in Romney's case, Nothing at all. Why is there even a debate? How is there even a debate? How can American's not see that Ron Paul is our last shot at a prosperous future? Wake up America.
A true scholar would know that Reagan wasnt all that great. I dont support Presidents that compare themselves to past presidents. Past presidents done what they done because it was during that time. This is a new age...
lol never actually seen any of your campagners Adverts before, you can imagine my shock when i realised it was a political advertisment rather than a film preveiw
This has got to be the only time in my life where I for one wish to be American.. to elect this great man into power and change the world for the better. God damn it stupid Americans.
dr.paul said in a debate..he believed in ronald reagan wanted to take the dollar back to the gold standard.reagan like so many others got sucked into the pitfalls.war also was going on during this time.thats why reagan lost ron pauls support.because ron paul knew war is not for the economy or the people.he even said in the debate "lets face it the 80s sucked.high deficits and war..out of control spending.reagan lost his way but his message at the start was a good message".you just have2 LISTEN
Few of us support the royal family, they're the center of attention for a lot of discussion. Many of us don't want our tax money to go to them, probably much for the same reasons that you wouldn't.
Ronald Reagan was and is an extremist, he just made the right wing extreme too.
Laissez Faire economics (Reaganomics) are not new. They caused the Panic and Depression of 1873, 1890, and the Great Depression in the 30's and now they've caused are current economic situation. It creates a bubble affect that leads to the downfall of the economy due to deregulation. Keynesianism FTW!
As someone who never thought it would be possible to create an ad that makes Rick Perry look good and Ron Paul look bad in his place, this commercial proves me wrong.
And it's supposed to be a commercial FOR Ron Paul!
Ha!!
Yea, look where Reaganomics got us! Thanks Ron Paul!
The irony is that Perry is much like Obama; a Republicrat pro-war liberal who would rather spend billions in U.S. tax dollars on imperialist wars in the middle east that don't benefit America and are part of a bigger plan to form a one world government and eventual one world currency. Those who live near Perry know that he has been caught many times in compromising situations with men. It's unknown whether Perry is now gay or just bisexual, but he pretends to oppose the very group he's part of..
Reagan had a great message, unfortunately the actual actions did not match that message. Soaring deficits and passing on debt to your children -- not an impressive accomplishment.
With Ron Paul, the message AND the actions have been consistent for 30 years. Connecting him with Reagan is not something I would do.
Also, a presidential campaign should not be made by comparing oneself to 'the bad guy'. One should win on the merit of one's own policies that reach the greatest number of people.
I'm confused. Al Gore, from my British perspective, seemed to be a good candidate, and has done a lot for global warming studies since. Just from that this seems to be a Rick Perry advert.
@PaulSLambeth This is America beside the west coast and the northeast, the great lakes states and Colorado, America is a backwards third world country.
@PaulSLambeth global warming is a load of bs. you know 95% of "scientists" say its real. you know 95% of "scientists" are corporate owned and never right. you know the scientists that said its not real predicted your big freeze and many other weather patterns because theyre not idiots.
@d3ltadrive I put it to you to learn some of the geography - a big freeze is what's expected as a result of climate change in the north, as meltwater disrupts the Atlantic gulf stream. And no, I don't believe science is never right. If I did believe that, I doubt I'd be typing on a laptop right now, with my fridge on, lights on and sending you this message from very far away.
Watched a very interesting documentary recently about how it's affecting island nations, too.
@PaulSLambeth i believe science is right too. the quotes were put there for a reason. by the way it was scientifically proven that co2 levels are affected by the heat, not the other way around. was it getting warmer, yes, now its getting colder again as a result of said warming. then it will start getting warm again as a result of said cooling, and so on and so on. science is not cosmic mysticism, its thinking rationally and observing to come up with a conclusion.
@d3ltadrive Well, it's both really. Co2 reflects heat back into the atmosphere, so a direct contribution of Co2 should cause a heat increase. What you said is right but only half the story. The cycle's also not currently as consistent as it has been, and there is a tendency towards being warmed quicker. I never said science is cosmic mysticism. But, put just one side of the argument into play, and the argument isn't complete.
The issue is whether it's partially or completely caused by humans. And that's where each person, including Al Gore, is going to put forward only the data that strongly supports their argument. I believe the climate change is partially natural and partially man-made, but we're definitely being environmentally destructive and that needs to be curved.
@wallstreetatheist : are u kidding?? Rick Perry gets all of his flights to Washington paid by the oil companies and you honestly believe he is independent? And anyway: he is so dumb and uneducated, i couldnt care less if he indeed wasnt a puppet - which he is.
@hoplite669 Re-read my comment. I didn't say Rick Perry...I said Ron Paul isn't a puppet. He's for decreasing the power of the federal government which would drastically reduce the special favors the government can dole out to its friends: Wall Street, Big Business, and Special Interest Groups.
*evil voice*pushing his Liberal values*evil voice*
Ron Paul usually does a good job just respectfully disagreeing. Fearmongering, insinuations, and us vs. them attitudes don't suit him and aren't worthy of the reputation he's built.
That last sentence was the worst: "..or the one who stood with Reagan?" It seems as if he's trying to make himself sound like the "cool" lacky for the actual cool jock in high school or something.
Wow, this makes me like Ron Paul and Rick Perry even less. But, if Ron Paul is such a Reagan fan does that mean he'd support raising taxes like Reagan did?
No Paul does not support that. We all know that biggest tax cut in history led to the biggest tax increase.
Paul also didn't mention that he called Reagan a complete failure which he was.
It's understandable Paul is trying to get the nomination. Politically this is a way to do it with the current GOP electorate. Lets see how the Reagan myth card gets played.
@usintelreport Too bad, I'd think a little more of Paul if he had some kind of idea of how to get us out of this mess. Rather than the Mitt Romney idea of doing exactly what got us into it. Please tell me this isn't real. Ron Paul lost respect.
1) This shows Ron Paul starfucking with "Oh I hung out with Reagan."
2) There are actual Al Gore fans, therefore he just alienated a high percentage of people.
3) "Al Gore's cheerleader" shows a vicious side of Ron Paul that is of bullying nature. Why would I vote for a bully?
4) Reagan is not looked upon as a good president by most.
5) The ad implies that winning means that you're officially better, not whether or not you have done good.
