  • Ok, so this is not the original BUT it has all the awesome tracks, just recorded as a different version. I don't understand all the negative reviews regarding this album. Sure, the recording is clear and not as violent and agressive but the songs and riffs are equally unique, and this album is in my top black metal albums list!!

  • Is this the only song by this artist with a guitar solo? I'm not familiar with their entire discography.

  • The ending is fucking anoying tbh at the end when you're listening this on your ipod and I have to manually go the next song...

  • also the ending is amazing

  • why would you rerecord black metal

i can see varg doing this for the money for those churches

but the redo of this was shit

  • this song turns me on

  • This album is such a demented masterpiece...good thing I avoided the re-recording.

  • this makes me want to go out and decapitate random people...

  • I just finished hearing the re-recording, and I just came running back to this.

  • R.I.P Grim...

  • While I think all the vocalists from Gorgoroth are probably the bes (if not all being in the top 10) I personally like Pest the best. Something about tem just sound so raw and nasty, so badass.

  • gaahl probably has one of the best vocals in black metal.

    Seriously.

  • @signofsatan Inform yourself before saying nonsenses. Gorgoroth's vocalist was Hat in Pentagram (1994) and Antichrist (1996). Then Pest in Under the Sign of Hell (1997) and Destroyer (1998). Gaahl became their vocalist in 1998, and they recorded three albums: Incipit Satan (2000), Twilight of the Idols (2003) and Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam (2006). Then, fortunately, Gaahl left and Pest returned in Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt (2009).

  • @MrThinkLinux Pest did 3 songs on Antichrist too.

  • @BuerOfficial You're right, the first, the fourth and the fifth, although the difference can be noticed only in the fourth, Possessed (by Satan).

  • Gr8 album btw. And enough of the fucking Gorgoroth civil war.

  • @randallnxn what movie?

  • Gorgoroth new More guitar solo..i hope they make so because it will be more

    brutal \m/

  • This is the best album in terms of drumming... ever! I can't help but air drum when listening to this album.

  • I THINK this is a gorgoroth song, i mean I know it's not from a single band dude kind of thing but can anyone explain to me what song this is?

    h tt p:/ /ww w .ne wground s.com /au dio/ list en/450 71

  • Your crappy opinions on vocalists and influences are worthless.

    Heil Hell.

  • Hat is king... Better than Pest...

  • You don't fuck with the Pest.

  • Hellish rock and roll!!!

  • Yes,Pest is much better than Gaahl, but Hat is much, much, much fucking better than them and than lot of black metal vocalist...

  • @TherionSamael Highly agree. Badass solo.

  • Gaahl =/= Pest :)

  • @DimebagHK mmhmmmm :)

  • PEST KILLS GAAHL VOCALLY!!

  • @Damballa89x Hat slaughters Pest on vocals lol (IMO)

  • The band is re-recording this entire album, it's due for release in early 2011.

  • Pest is the best.......

    fucking great......

  • People make such a big deal about Mayhem but all they did was just keep the true black metal spirit alive.

  • ghaal better than pest?????!!! in what universe man!!! i donnou about on stage performance but pest vocal are the shit!!!! for me this is the besto of gorgoroth and probably the best in black metal!

  • twin solo FTW!

  • @csehszlovakze satan :D

  • one of the best songs of this album that is a CLASSIC, album of this band. EXCELENT.

  • o_O 1:35

  • this and afi are my favorite alternative bands

  • @hurtswhenifart Gorgoroth,alternative?

They are fucking norwegian Black Metal!

One of the best bands in the style, with Immortal,Carpathian Forest,Emperor,Darkthrone,(old, very old) Dimmu Borgir...Mayhem (which came first)

  • @theinmortal6

Mayhem did NOT came first... Euronymous DID spawn the Norwegian Black Metal as it is today though. He lit a spark, but even before Mayhem was formed, there were some Black Metal bands, scattered throughout the world. Don't take this as critique btw XD Just saying.

Nice bands you list as well.

I'd just add Gaahlskagg, Trelldom, Absu and Dark Funeral... They're good.

  • @SilentWolftears Mayhem came 1st from these bands xD

Absu is one of my fav Black Metal bands. Add Melechesh. These bands play different Black Metal but are enormous.

And the biggest influence for Black Metal are Venom,Bathory and my personal favs,CELTIC FROST.

  • @SilentWolftears venom, bathory, sarcofago, hellhammer, celtic frost, and mercyful fate came before mayhem. but technically the 1st. wave was more thrash then black metal but still Sarcofago and Bathory sound evil as fuck

  • @Traductus5972

I know... I'm not a complete moron =P. I like Bathory and Sacrofago, I just prefer the second wave of Black Metal above the first one.

  • @SilentWolftears i dont even consider the "first wave" to be black metal, except for maybe bathory. nobody had even heard of venom until after they released their Norwegian music, yet venom is commonly stated as a big influence.

  • @thychaos that explains, why mayhem's biggest influence was venom, and vennom's 1982 album gave name to the genre... Yeah... Of course... LOL

  • @herbstelyd i dont care if it gave it its name...they just played heavy thrash, it wasnt black metal as we came to know it at all.

  • @thychaos it was trash metal with strong roots of black metal. Both bands started black metal, but remember that mayhem started what we know as black metal today. And they were really big fans of venom. Watch once upon a time in Norway

  • @herbstelyd not to mention mayhem named themselves after the venom song mayhem with mercy.

  • @chiaromontestephen When we are talking about names. Maniac and Euronomous took their names from Mayhem songs, not to mention the drummer, Hellhammer :p

  • @Makool Incorrect, sir! Euronymous took his pseudonym from a demonic creature in Greek mythology. As for Maniac, well... That's kinda obvious.

  • @Makool Your comment is right, except those aren't Mayhem songs. Those were Hellhammer songs.

  • @Wyndrax Thats what I meant, I guess I missed something when i wrote, it was gonna be "bla bla from Mayhem took their names from Hellhammer songs" oh well.

  • this song, and album are CLASSIC. a masterpiece in it's own right. if you don't understand, you weren't there.

    hails.

  • I suggest all emo kids leave now. Only black metal warriors are allowed.

  • \m/ I concur!

  • i cant appreciate this at all. Sooo many better bands out there....

  • ... Then why post a reaction XD!?

Keep your opinion to yourself if you don't like this music.

  • and this funy drummer , tuca tuca tuca tuca tuca tuca tuca haha !:D

  • get a life

  • @myaccissofake well actually I've a life that's why I am not sitting and masturbating with gay quality "music" videos

  • you have to train your ear and listen to the right things to achieve a whole impression

if you dont even try to then just stop flaming

  • This is another "black metal is for emo kids" troll. He doesn't care about any kind of musical depth, just shallow taunting.

  • not if ur born liking this music

  • ex0dus is just a religious fagot who sucks off his God thinking that he will accept him in his paradise, Pathetic how many brainless mutants are out there that are scared into believing there religion.... If YOU DONT BELIVE IN GOD YOU WILL BURN IN HELL..... Go preach somewhere else

  • @ProTeabagger blah blah anything else? No ? good cause muslims will kill you ...

  • lol sure u do n thats y u say bull shit in the first place pathetic

  • @ex0dus696 For those who like this we used to call them old school black metal, or somethin really inspired in the roots of the style, that nowadays is very ridiculous

  • Did you know that satan is gay? haha faggots !:D

  • Under the Sign of Hell is gorgoroth's finest piece of work unquestionably

  • The Sin Of Satan Is The Sign Of Gorgoroth

  • PEST is much better vocal GAALH

  • He is...but Gaalh has done some kickass thing as well, don't you agree?

  • And he is, without a doubt, much more kvlt.

  • i agree siltentwolftears

  • @SilentWolftears 6/10 for gaalh vocal and 1/10 for presence on stage lol

Pest is good but Hat is superior in every way.

  • @freakyfranck

Uhh... This is Pest on vocals....

    Seems like there's a wanna-be among us.

  • @SilentWolftears I know it's Pest I just said Hat was better...

  • @bodomtallica It's Gaahl and no he is not. Take your anti-fag earplugs out.

  • @bodomtallica Gaahl is great, Pest too. I think screaming of Pest is demoniac than screaming of Gaahl.

  • @Absolutelydarkness Pest is definitly better IMO. Hat though, Hat was a crazy fuckin vokillist

  • Best Norwegian Black Metal album ever.

  • Gorgoroth er det beste metall bannet bortsett fra exiled så klart!

  • Hehe yeah, it's awesome.

  • Killer song

  • great!
