I attached a video of me playing this Etude in Ecuador. You'll notice some wrong notes, etc. It doesn't matter. What do you think?! Also, I'm amazed that you can play the Mephisto Waltz. That thing is a beast.
I play this piece, too! Maybe you've already noticed these, but I figured out two interesting simplifications:
1. Split up the first run between both hands (this makes it possible to play really fast)
2. Give the pesky quarter notes in the right hand after those runs to the LH! Again, to facilitate speed (maybe you already do this, I can't quite tell).
Maybe that helps? Good start, nonetheless, though.
