  • I still have my boomerang from years ago. Haven't even put it together yet, lol. Don't remember how much I bought it for.

  • I also bought LED Mirage too. This is probably the cheapest FSS kit from Wave, as the original edition of this kit was in 3200Yen price tag.

The meaning of limited release in fact is, the price 4 this kit. As you can see, 1800Yen is a steal price. Mine is the last stock from Hobby Search :D

I also got Engage SR3 First Edition (unable to get Engage SR1, so I'll just get the SR3).

Great, the moment I type this, I saw Engage SR1 is open for reservation for September release at HS :D

  • i went to the website but idk how to translate the currency to US Dollars?

  • @DonVares

You have to use an external currency converter like oanda.

  • hallo! haben sie das schon gebaut?

ahh my german sucks xD anyways i just ordered this kit from amiami too! got the last one :D i'm wondering if you could upload a video of this kit and briefly comment painting method/materials used? i'm wondering if i should paint the clear parts..

  • @713stargazer

I have started gluing some pieces but didn't start painting or anything else. I'll upload a video if continue my work on it and achieved something presentable.

Your German is all right XD

  • I love your way man! you gives all the information that others don't.

  • whaaaat?! i was debating on weather or not to get that kit?? is it limited release?! omg and that music... i remember it on .hack//sign

  • I google-translated the homepage of wave on this kit and it said something like limited release (whatever that means). But atm it's still availible at hobby search and amiami. HLJ never had it listed and HW Japan ran out of stock.

Jaeh .hack//sign was an awesome anime (with the bgm...without: average ^^).

I'm re-looping my BGMs right now because I ran out of matrerial to choose from. If I remember correctly I used these songs in one or two of my SD Gundam Alex videos.

  • 1800 yen is a STEAL! I would have bought it at that price if I saw it

  • It was big in the news (ngee khoing) some months ago so I had some time to decide on it and do some research (I had to find out by my self that it was a re-release for instance).

AmiAmi and Hobby Search have it still in stock (don't know what about ishop2go ;-) ). The strange thing is that it never was available at HLJ.

Pew...this year's gunpla releases are emptying my purse...I have to stop checking the release lists ^^

  • Lol haben sie Dir auch son netten Flyer mit reingepackt? Durch den Zoll ist mein MG GN-X von Hobbysearch auch gottseidank mal ohne Mehrkosten. Looking forward to anything ya build or DIY hows the filter issue with ya spray booth coming?

The filter didn't work (I used a filter for exhaust hoods [Dunstabzugshaube?!?]). The air suction is too low with a filter. I guess it's time for a version 1.5 soon ^^

  • Wow, is the build like your average MG, or is it like a PG?

  • nice! a mirage kit. I can't wait to see you make a progress vid on it.

also, this year looks exciting for Wave. they are doing a lot more kit for FSS. personally, I am waiting for the mighty series mirage B4, and the new KOG. from magazine scan I have seen, the KOG has awesome articulation. hopefully, the price is fair enough. haha

  • how much did u pay for shipping for the led custom

  • 790 Yen (because of the 50% shipping cost special on February)

  • I can't wait to see how the L.E.D. Mirage turns out in your expert hands. I've been looking at these FSS kits for quite some time but have been put off because of the need to glue.

AmiAmi appear to have an excellent service. I'm a big HLJ fan but the prices at AA are very tempting.

  • Thanks for this video... just made my first order from Amiami and was wondering about their packaging. This looks good!

  • I want to build another LED so much, but have yet to met one with a good price tag on it.

  • hey ingenhk! What model is that on your blog? Is it the 1/144 LED Mirage Sarion, the 1/100 scale or a resin kit?

This kit I've doesn't come with a speid (katana?) and the proportions are different.

    1800 Yen still too much?

  • It.. WAS(gone) a very old soft vinyl kit of the LED mirage in 1/100 scale. 1800 Yen is ideal but my local store wants more(as much as if I would have bought it online)

  • The LED Mirage kit looks great. I'm a big fan of the designs from FSS. I hope you'll show the kit when it's assembled and painted.

Using Revolver joints for model kits is a good idea, though I imagine one would have to reinforce the joint socket or scratch build one to stand up to the stress of using a Revolver joint. I'm planning on buying a few packs of Revolver joints in the near future as back-ups for my Revoltech figures.

I've also taken advantage of AmiAmi's shipping sale. :)

  • I assume that I'll only paint the non-transparent parts because the 'original' is transparent-ish, too (story-wise).

On the revolver joints: from what I've see you only have a hole as the socket of the joint. If I've got the right drill-size I guess that won't be a big problem. I'm planing on ordering a cheap revoltech (soltic from HLJ) just to see how they do it.

What did you order from amiami? When I ordered most of the bandai stuff was already sold out ^^

  • I've been looking at some FSS model kits and may get a Knight of Gold. I saw some very interesting kits at Ngee Khiong's blog, which look very ornate. Purely display pieces, I think, but very detailed and finely sculpted.

Yes, the Revolver joints just peg straight into holes/sockets.

I ordered a few action figures including Medicos' Jotaro and Dio. If they're good then I'll definitely get Star Platinum and The World to complete them. Also a SD RX-0 kit.

  • The KOG ^^ . I planed to get this kit two years ago but didn't because of reading some WIPs (of the 1/144 wave versions). But I'm not sure whether that what I read at hobby fanatics isn't just injection-kit bashing of some resin-gurus. But from what I've seen at hobby search this kit will have big problems with parting lines (gold plated kit). Or do you think of the Volks 1/100 KOGs?

  • I was thinking of the Volks 1/100 KoGs because of the plating of the Wave kits. I also considered getting a Wave kit because one could strip the plating, fill in the seam lines and then give the kit a full paint job.

  • Jup. I know. But well...I never came to the need to do that because I tend to avoid the coated versions (Argama was a steal-buy and well...looks good enough without repainting).

Hmmm...Volks. Pretty interesting. I'm looking forward to see a video on that XD

  • wow thats i big box for a rvoltech and also need to fix

  • that's no Revoltech action figure. It's a plastic model kit.
