But sitting on the tree? Not a good idea. The tree is already decaying enough due ot the elements. Just saying, it might not be such a respectful or good thing to do.

The site is actually about 200 miles north of Joshua Tree National Park -- closer to Death Valley ...

The Australian leg is playing back all the old video footage from this era, Joshua Tree, Harmony Hotel, Zabriski Point during the "Where The Streets Have No Name". Bono dancing on the highway CA-190. Can't link to videos, but easy to search.

I was there a month before you were. Don't think there would have been many people there between out stops. The U2tube doesn't get too many entries. Amazing it's still there after all this time.

hey, how can i find this?

Ive gone to Joshua tree twice a year since before i can remember... (being 17, not all to impressive but what can you do?). My whole family loves U2 but i dont think weve ever gone to this, anyone care to tell me where to find this?

you guys are CRAZY. I told my wife about your trek to the remains of TJT -she reminded me that I was the guy that tried to walk to the smoke towers from downtown Dublin and ended up in the projects. GReat vid guys!!!!!!!

Incredible place. Took me 3 trips from the UK to find it but eventually did so on Tues 27 October 2009 at 9am just a couple of days after you'd all been there!
