Its a Sky lantern and its dripping wax. The reason it has an intense glow is due to it being a thermal camera which details changes in thermal activity resulting in a high contrast. Plus the cam being out of focus increases this whole effect making the glow and the drips look more intense. A tiny hot drop would end up looking like an orb at night viewed through a thermal camera that isn't perfectly focused.
my dad and i used to make these all the time, they're like a garbage bag hot air balloon being propelled by jiffy lighters underneath. you tie a bit of plastic string or rope to the bottom and light the end of it and it drops like little fire balls..
this video PROVE's beyond all that BOB WHITE found a true artifact... he found a dripped molten metal shard that had been transmitting a large electrical current directly through it, He and a friend saw it drop from a craft and found it, still red hot!!.. It make's you wonder if there are different species out there that use different ways to power their craft??
