I loved this movie. It definitely makes way more sense however, if you watch the 2k3 series, before watching the movie. If you see the movie by itself you'll be like "WTF?!"

god the character design is shit for this film. the animation and background design is awesome, but fuck they talk about edgy where's the edge in look for the turtles?

They weren't basing the turtle design according to the TV shows, if that's what you meant.

i know, they just could've made them look way more bad ass i think. i just hate this style that all cgi artists seem to be into a sort of cutesy manga style crossed with human characteristics from the incredibles, its all just really generic.

what it means by darker city tone is that the city has a darker shading tone to it 2 make it look very realistic.

I think the first live action movie had the perfect tone. I grew up watching the 80's cartoon and that was cool I loved it, but I really don't know what the hell they mean this movie has a darker tone. They look pretty cool in cgi but I hope if thet do make a sequel they do really give it a darker tone. One of the best scenes was ralph and leo's fight I wish there was more tension like that.

In the comics they're in the thirties but the kept the name because the creator just like the name.

I believe that's part of the reason the film was part of the reason the title was tmnt rather than the full name.

It's not like the turtles themselves or any other character refers to them as Teenage Mutant Nija Turtles in anything beyond the '87 cartoon.

Lol! It's like picturing Elmo being 40 years old: It ain't happening. xD I love the dark edginess of the movie. It gave it the awesome tone of a city full of trouble.

This was an awesome movie!!!! Laurence Fishburne is a great narrator!! I'm a fan of the old school turtles and used to own everything Turtles back in the day. Those were the days but I love this version as well.

I'm glad that they took the time to put all the detail into this film. Some people bashed it, but I had a good time at the movies. Now, with the DVD. It's good stuff. I hope those sequel hints don't go to waste...

@waynetech10 there is a live action teenage mutant ninja turtles thats supposed to be released around 2012 :( don't think there will be a sequel unless its after the live action movie.

That movie was so good! I liked the darker and more psychological side of it. Thanks a lot for posting this special feature. I didn't find the French special edition, so I only bought the one-disc DVD and I'm really happy to see this. You're my hero, mk2mc!
