  • Because I don't like having verbal fights. Much less, online. So I think that we may want to end it here.

Trolling is fun.

  • *sigh*

Whatever dude. Let's just quit spamming the comment wall.

  • I am fourteen and I have been home schooled my whole life. You can say whatever you like about education and socialization, but I know a lot of people who are home schooled and a lot who aren't and EVERY one of my Home-schooling friends are better socialized, better educated, DO end up with better careers and most importantly, have a love of learning. That's the reason why my Mom decided to Home-educate me and I thank her for it every day.

  • When you find you can't get a job because you believe the Earth is Flat and was created in six days and that the Ten Commandments are US law you'll probably want to sue your parents. Sadly you won't know how.

  • @EqualAndFree Oh, because Darwin's THEORY is a much better lesson to be taught huh?? Let's see.. what has happened to the morals of the people and the freedom and liberties of "We The People" since religion has been removed from the schools?.. Oh, that's right.. a downhill spiral. You teach your kids a path influenced by MTV and idol worship that will lead them to hell, I'll teach my kids a path that leads to heaven.. Do you really want to gamble with your kids everlasting soul??? I hope not.

  • @umustwantme

    1. The point is that kids need evidence-based education. Evolution is evidence-based, creationism is not.

    2. There's no evidence of a "downhill spiral" of morals. 100 years ago our nation gave no rights to black people and very few rights to women. Haven't our morals evolved since then?

    3. Atheists are much less likely than Christians to commit crimes. There are almost no atheist prisoners. Christians are more likely than atheists to divorce, become alcoholic or do violent crime.

  • @EqualAndFree Just because you are believing what the world wants you to believe, you don't have to be racist towards Christians, Jews, or any other religious people. If you want to be racist towards other religions, please keep it to yourself.

Oh and by the way, to anybody else who wants to HOME-SCHOOL, remember this: As a side effect, the chance of your child getting into drugs, alcohol, sex, or violence may be reduced from 75% to 100% chance. I'm 16, and I would recommend a virtual school.

  • @killit95 Wait till you're 25 and can't get a job. That's the time to decide whether it was a good idea. You might then want to sue your parents.

  • @EqualAndFree What are you: How old are you, 8 years old?!? You can't just sue somebody for nothing you moron ! Besides, We have Obama to thank for not having jobs available.

  • @killit95 Children can sue their parents for neglect, physical and psychological abuse and financial misappropriation. Many have done so. If you grow up unable to get a job in biology, astronomy, geology or medicine because your parents taught you to deny their central concepts (such as evolution, heliocentricity, the big bang, four billion years of rock strata and bacteria as the cause of diseases) then you might have a good case for suing them for educational neglect & religious indoctrination

  • @EqualAndFree Why would you do that. That's just stupid.

  • @EqualAndFree Propaganda.

  • @MalachiCo0 Not propaganda - researched and documented facts.

For example, the Barna Research Group, an evangelical Christian organization that does surveys and research to better understand what Christians believe and how they behave, studied divorce rates in America in 1999 and found surprising evidence that divorce is far lower among atheists than among conservative Christians (Barna Research Group, 1999-DEC-21). I can send you the details.

  • @EqualAndFree Okay, send me this elledged evidence. Also killit95 is right, you know (of course you don't know, you listen to propaganda from Obama).

  • I hope this dumb fuck doesn't have any children. Remember that any child educated by this twit cannot be smarter than he is. Poor kid.

  • CONTINUED: They assume that friends and childhood memories can only come from public school because sadly that is the only experience they have. They have been duped into believing that public school equals the real world yet they fail to realize that nowhere else in life other than prison is one's life so controlled by others. In school you can't even take a drink of water or use the restroom without the permission of someone else.

    END. START READING AT BEGINNING.

  • CONTINUED: It is really sad that those who have bought into the myths and stereo-types are unable to think beyond the literal and figurative box of public school. They do not realize that the reason all their childhood memories and friends come from school is because they spent the majority of their waking hours from the ages of 5-18 in public school or involved in its activities.

  • CONTINUED: Instead, homeschoolers are free to be around people of all ages and who live within a larger area. There are so many ways to socialize beyond the box that is public school. Statistics show that the average homeschooler participates in 3x the number of extracurricular activities over their public school counterparts. Studies also show that homeschoolers are more active in their community not only when they are homeschooling but also once they enter college and/or the workforce.

  • All research indicates that not only are homeschoolers well socialized and well adjusted, but that they also participate in more social activities as children and adults. Research also shows that public schools are harmful to social skills and the ability to socialize. omeschooling gives the chance to be around a wider variety of people. Homeschoolers are not limited to being around only those who live in the same school district and who were born in the same 12 month period.

  • exactly what researchologist says. If you have kids do the research. and don't listen to the bull that's put out there that it will make your kid weird or socially sick. learn the facts then you'll be able to see propaganda when you read it . p.s. I'm very interested in your kids being home schooled because I don't want to get mugged shot or robbed

  • I think if I will be a parent I will homeschool my kids so they wont be bullied and they wont socially scarred by the hell of a place.

  • Homeschooling is "RIGHT" for every one of us, just some don't know it yet, or refuse to accept it. It's also the answer for controlling teen violence, pregnancy, and teen drug & alcohol abuse, Honestly, do your research....on the percentage of truly homeschooled teens that are on drugs or involved with gangs. You won't find any true homeschooler involved.

  • i have a problem with my public school its so easy for me to get destracted and i can never keep my grades up. Im a sophmore in highschool suppost to be a junior but because of my grades im down a year. Do you think itd be easier for me to switch to homeschooling now? is there a possibility that i can graduate in normal time? Please give me some advice!

  • I want to be home schooled. I have all the friends I need. I dont learn anything in public schools. All I learnd that was helpfull was in the grades k-3rd. The teachers dont teach beacause there is always some kid who holds the class back.

  • I was home-schooled. I now have several degrees from a top twenty university. I know I am smarter than most people. I think I have my mother's early education to thank for that. I think its ridiculous that people get on here and claim that I would some how be more dumb or ignorant than somebody that went to private school simply because my mother decided to give me advanced mathematics and music lessons. When I finally went to a public school I graduated with the highest sat/gpa in my class.

  • We loved homeschooling and truly believe that we made the best decision, we definitely had our moments and I was surprised that I didn't pull my hair out. There were days. Put it was so worth every bit. My sons created a Music Based Learning Company. HipHop-EDU and it is doing well and all use it public, private and of course home-schoolers. They have created subjects from Pre-K to Pre-Algebra

  • Haha, My friend that is home-schooled is really dumb. She is my age cannot read, spell, or do any complicated math. I'm in 10th grade, and everything she learns is what I learned in 7th grade. I think you learn far less at home, when at public school you have educated teachers who actually went to college to get degrees in what they are teaching. Plus, public school is fun. Whoever says its a "jail" has obviously never been to school, because you have fun when all you friends are there.

  • @MohamadMohamadTNT - some people have a hard time making friends, did you ever think of that? i went to public school untill grade 5 and had problems from day 1. that is exactly what i called it, a JAIL. You THINK you learn far less at home??!! Have you ever been homeschooled? what would you do if there was a gas shortage and you couldnt get ahold of food or clothing? would you use your super awesome math skills or your reading skills? NO you wouldnt.

  • @MohamadMohamadTNT i went to public school till grade 5 and had problems from day 1. i called it exactly that, a JAIL. what if there was a gas shortage? huh? would you use your super awesome math skills? NO you wouldnt. you would have to use the skills you learned from home. and some parents acually WENT to school. unlike yours and you still learn stuff online. I am learning at a 9th grade level. i NEVER had any friend and neverwanted any. Guess what? im in grade SEVEN n smarter than 9th graders

  • I homeschool 4 children. It is the best thing I ever decided to do! They are unique, outgoing, inventive, highly intelligent, happy, creative, loving and ambitious. An ex-headmaster from the Education Authority once said to me, "Watch where they are going, open the doors for them and watch them go through." So I do. It feels like I am the one learning. They do what they do and it is just awesome! And so much easier than dealing with schools on a daily basis! I highly recommend this way of life!

  • i get home schooled! but i find it hard to find work...... what websites are good or books??

for english.scinece, maths geogrphy nd history? x

  • You said it!!!

  • seriously...socialize. its not the same when you live the school environment.. you learn to "survive" if you know what I mean...dont get homeschooled you lazy fucks.

  • @poposisa yea, and let your child get the shit beat out of them because someone doesn't like them? or get shot, more crimes happen at school than home school households, lol.

  • @XfullmetalRocker ahjajaha ok...stay the rest of your life in home. if you go out you can get robbed....STAY INSIDE YOUR HOUSES PEOPLE!!! dont drive a car...you might get killed. fuking stupid ignorant :S

  • @poposisa I'm not saying to stay inside your house for the rest of your life, I'm just saying that going to public school means more danger for your kids, lol, especially if you don't want a rapist to grab a hold of your child at school or being a teacher at the school and stealing them, wouldn't you like to watch your children instead of strangers?

  • @poposisa If you have nothing nice to say, please say nothing at all. My Mother used to tell me that. By the way, how old are you? Just curious?

  • @alvastarr67 i dont have to have something nice to say...to speak...I can say whatever i want...thats the mouth for. to talk...get back to your mom and ask for a solution BYE

  • @poposisa That's what i figured. Thank you for proving me right.

  • @alvastarr67 Sure, go ask your mom, shell tell you what to do :/ I feel sorry for you

  • @poposisa Thanks for the kind words.

  • Comment removed

  • @poposisa SURVIVE????? SURVIVE???!!!!! at public school?? omg what if there was a gas shortage?? its gonna happen someday and you think that you learn to survive at public school??!!! what are you gonna use your "how i survived middle school" tips for that??????? THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!

  • @mimmyanny dude...thats life...deal with it. you can go to school and at the same time your parents

will teach you, in this case, how to deal with a gas storage. think about it. Ill say it again. dont drive because you can crash!, dont drink because youll kill yourself! dont have sex because youll get aids! dont stand near the microwave! dont buy a dog!, he will bite you! please...you cant be paranoic. life is for living it. you have to take risks...youll be stronger

  • @mimmyanny Would the people who could grow food not be able to sell it because there are so many desperate people that they would just get raided?

  • @EricNyhmfan Well, I think that if there was a gas shortage and you had to grow food, money wouldn't matter. I am guessing that the best place to live would be AWAY from civilization and have a large fence. If it were to happen, I would try to grow as much as I could and share with everyone. But eventually, people will learn to grow food and share with the other people in the world.

  • they need to radically change school. Not just "hey lets change a few minor things here and there." I mean like redifine the whole meaning of school. Educators always evaded the elephant in the room. children crave freedom, they dont want to be force fed information they dont want to learn.

  • @iamcoolerdenu So how do you teach them? At my school at least they use the words critical thinking on the curriculum but besides that and the teacher talking about the problems of consumerism the structure is the same. Even though I don't seem to fit in anywhere there still isn't anything worth calling bullying going on. The only problem as I see it is the teachers don't consider the reason for the existence of the rules they enforce, they just do it.

  • Homeschooling is so much beter then public. Mano a mano attention all on your kid. Honorable work indeed. Plus the obvious reasons that they are smarter, and dont get brainwashed by communist teachers handing out condoms to 1st graders.

  • I wonder if this guy has ever molested a kid lol jk

  • It would be ok to attend a private school than public school, the difference is that public schools promote alot of propaganda like in the Nazi Hitler Days, its starting again parents are taking notice.

  • I'm in homeschooling and I don't even need my parents to teach me! :D

I just do my work turn it into my teacher and BAM never need to sit in a bad influence environment for hours each day.(c'mon in public school no kids care about learning they go for fun and friends nowadays) Plus you can get ahead in home school, my friend got to graduate early because you can do as much work whenever and it counts toward credits.

  • Home schooled kids suck at the most important skill in life, the social skills.

  • @Zappaman88 you do know that just because you can do your homework at home that doesn't mean you can't talk to other kids...

  • @Zappaman88 Being home schooled can be allot more healthy IF you have people to socialize with, we practice life skills, not a bunch of fluffy crap we wont even use.

  • @mimmyanny sure good point... where would we be if people didnt learn gardening and knitting.... YOU FAIL!

  • Faith based home school education?

    Are you kidding me?

Home school must be for people that can't handle a real education based on facts.

Study in evolution is needed in the scientific forum of medicines, and vaccines, along with many other fields of science.

OOO yes, it is just a theory right?

    Just like gravity! hmmmm

There is a big difference between educating and indoctrination.

  • @4me2cclearly , What exactly makes you think that there is no "indoctrination" in PS?

LOLOLOL! Don't be naive. Just because the indoctrination agrees with your way of thinking, doesn't make it any less of indoctrination.

  • I like these videos! Keep up the good work! Don't let anyone who disagrees with you bring you down!!!

  • i hate being home schooled it sucks really bad i have no friends

  • @TheNinathesinger I know how you feel. But isn't it for the better? Obviously public schooled kids are messed up. My Social skills are beyond horrible. I have no friends, I have become depressed. But consider this, because of being home schooled we have time to practice things we will truly learn in life, seriously, fluffy crap isn't really needed, and doing 7 hours of school a day is just unfair, and it blows the mind up. I use to be public schooled.

  • @Videos4USArmy wow yeah you are right the kids at my school where messed up.but i did alot more school work at school i had a lot more help there then on the phone since i'm really shy on there .i did have friends at school but they where not that great of friends but at least there where they for me when the times where bad

  • how on earth did a video about whether or not to homeschool spark such vicious comments about politics and religion?!

    Get a grip, people.

  • While I've never homeschooled, I can tell you one big problem with public school is the class size. There is no way one teacher can give 20 kids what they need. I try to explain this to my child when he complains about a teacher catching him talking but not catching someone else. They should be able to hire more teachers and have small classes and do the big classes for PE and recess. I could see where homeschoolers could learn better in their individual way. I need to work though.

  • HOME SCHOOLING IS WAY BETTER

  • well, unlike common belief, home skoolers have programs, young marines us naval sea cadets, sports etc i know alot of girls through the us naval sea cadets, so your a retard i know a homeskooler who has a girl friend i think military schools are best overall though - disipline - good values - girls luv ur uniform - higher standard for grades - helps if you join military - helps you get into collages yes i know i had bad spelling
  • i also know lots of people in my nighborhood

  • @TheSunmanho i have so many things to say about that im not even going to start

  • @sarsfieldusmc no its not how are goin to make friends

  • @FireTrainer12 ummm out of school programs and kids around the neighborhood

  • @sarsfieldusmc Ok you have it your way I have it my way

You say potato I say patato

  • @FireTrainer12

"You say potato I say patato "

    - either functions as an adequate description of a home-schooled child.

  • @sarsfieldusmc hell yeah, i fucked my teacher.....wait....

  • My brother was homeschooled and went to college at 16, A-B student, then went to vet school at 20. And he is perfectly normal, 6'6" (haha huge) man with a lot of friends and is engaged to be married in a year to a great girl. I am so proud of him.

  • My take on this is:

Homeschooling is fun and easy. BUT, so is regular school. With regular school you come home with a ton of homework. And it sucks, most of the kids in my HS failed or got a C as their best grade. Yes, it's easier to make friends at school. But, who really cares about other people? Most people just give you a mean look. So on the otherhand wouldn't it benefit yourself more to be focused on school and get into college by homeschooling? Yes.

  • you know what home schooling is GAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Benefits of Home Schooling.

    1) Security. No more Columbines.

    2) Non Secular Education if that's your preference. (your choice NOT the states Or the Feds)

    3) Healthy home cooked Food for lunch. And not some packaged deal from industry.

    4) Higher degree of education.

    5) No more armed guards to worry about who often get Trigger, Mace, Club, or Tazer happy when a child don't tuck his shirt in fast enough to suit them.

Home Schooling is exactly what Children & Parents need today.

  • 1) 60% of murders happen in or near the home. Less than 1% happen at schools.

    2) If your faith depends on your environment, then is it really faith?

    3) ok fine you got us there.

    4) Not really. It would take too long to explain it, so i'm just gonna leave it at that.

    5) What? You must've run out of points and just made something up on the spot because that doesn't make any sense at all.

  • 1) Statistics show the reverse is true when Parents take a parental interest in their kids education.

    2) You must be talking about evol. For that is the only religion where "Blind FAITH" is required. Sorry, we don't teach that nonsense here.

    3) Glad you agree.

    4) Yes, God did it. That leaves "Chance of the gaps" a.k.a. Morphological change over time as simply a religious (none scientific) view.

    5) You must have missed the News on that one.

    watch?v=FE92vav5zVo

  • 1). Think about what you just said. "stats show the reverse is true..." So when parents are good, 60% of murders happen at school?

    2) No, i'm saying that if you're so scared that your kids are going to go astray because of not being able to pray over the intercom, then maybe you haven't done enough, or maybe they aren't really interested in being a christian in the first place. If you have to keep your kids at home to ensure that they're christian, then whats the point?

    500 character limit...

  • ...continued

    4) i think you got #4 confused because it doesn't match my comment.

    5) If you're unable to distinguish between a single incident of a disturbed individual, and a whole system, then you're just a pathetic person.

I know a guy that shot up his office after being fired. Does that mean that we should all stay at home because people always get shot when they go to work?

  • @meanmopar426

    1- rare

    2-you can have alt. lessons

    3-pack your lunch

    4- honor classes

5- that happens ALL the time...

  • lol, i'v never seen armed guards at my school. And 2, unless your a teacher or someone who is just as good as teaching as all the teachers the school has to offer, then your kid is just going to end up as some retard.

  • @meanmopar426 In response to some of your points There are also Christian schools, secular schools aren't the only regular schools available You don't have to eat what the schools make you can just bring your own lunch to school at at regular school to You can get into college with a public school diploma also so I dont agree with the higher degree comment

  • @restaurant99 I am aware of the MANY Private and Public schools out there. However, when it comes to educating our kids we need to protect them from "Indoctrinations."

We saw first hand how that system works. Remember WW-2 and the Hitler youth camps?

So a Higher form of education is needed.

There is no way we can funnel knowledge into a person no matter how hard we try.

    Wisdom is revealed not implanted.

Also Repetition (modern system) only leads to indoctrination.. Not education.

  • @meanmopar426 Well I think what your getting at is most schools in this country are biased in a leftwing & antireligious direction which I agree with to an extent & I agree thats a bad thing But its not worth homeschooling your children over I think you can teach your children to be skeptical of what their taught in public school but still send them there I was homeschooled & I know from experience it damaged my ability to develop social skills So I think homeschooling is a bad thing

  • Take this for example.

In the 1930's & 40's Children were taught to chant "Adolf Hitler is our Savior..." As if it was a pledge or something. - Have you seen any of this singing taught to kids in our time?

I have.. And this video is but one of many that show how history IS repeating itself.

    watch?v=cdPSqL9_mfM

Notice the last 2 minutes of it.

  • @meanmopar426 I dont think Obama is the next Hitler which is what you seem to be implying I do think he's a moron

  • @restaurnt99 Being "skeptical" isn't permitted these days. Have you not conversed online or in public with an evolutionist for example?

To be 'skeptical' of their stance you're often ridiculed and called "Ignorant", "Stupid", a "creatard' etc etc etc... in an attempt to peer pressure our youth into accepting a form of religious dogma as scientific fact.

  • If creation was real, someone would have had to have made god. Creationists think it is unlikely that something like the universe could have been made by accident, I think It is even moer unlikely that god was made by accident.

  • I wonder how many homeschooled creationist biologists have earned a noble price? Seriously, you retards need to wise up to the fact that evolution denial is dumbing down america. Christian fundamentalism and modern science are polar opposites, if you want to live in the bronzeage like people in the middle-east while the rest of the world progresses with the aid of science go ahead, just don't think you deserve to partake in the wonders of science! So trash your cars and go live in a hut!

  • Everyone thinks home schooled people are christians, but In the UK most of them are normal people.

Its just in America you get the weird jesu freaks.

  • So Christians are no normal people??? Wow, I smell $hit for brains on your end.

  • Did I say they weren't?

    Get your facts right.

  • Do you think that Darwin would believe his own theory knowing what we know today scientifically?

  • Well the entire scientific community does so I can't see why he wouldn't. What exactly do "we know today scientifically" that make us inclined to think otherwise?

...oh and please, if you are making a case against evolution please present peer-reviewed material by credible scientists and don't just regurgitate unsubstanciated pseudo-scienfical claims you've picked up from creationst propagandists

  • Well said religion is obsolete for knowledge and success. I am guarenteed that people dont get "A"s in class by praying to god.

These homeschoolers seem like a social outkast btw

  • people are still denying evo. how scary is that. News flash, not one noted scientist denies evo. even the bible thumping idiot Collins believes in evo. So maybe all you retards who don't believe in science should get off the computer that science provided you, and stop contamintating the arirwaves with ignorance

  • Why don't you spend Thanksgiving with your chimpanzee relatives - you evolution believing ignoramous!!!! Darwin was a satanic twisting liar (look at his history)! You will also never see the bones of the giants that inhabited the Earth before the flood of Noah either! and why is that? They have been hid from you by the Smithsonian and National Geo people. Also, this universe (right now) is in the constant state of decay - like your thinking! PSYCH !!!! Oh, and Jesus Loves You! LOL

  • really?

    wake up.

  • R u retarded?

your just another blind sided christian

  • that black bitvch in treh advertisment is ugly as shit

  • Creationism is a fairy tale that u people just bite down on hook line and sinker. Keep on believing in talking snakes and Adam and Eve eatting fruite from a tree curing their blindness and removing ribs to creat more of mankind lol. Why do u idiots think black people look like monkeys?

  • Homeschool is superior as is private school. So why have public school? Just abolish it. Abolish Public School. com

  • You have to consider the fact that some families cannot afford either of those two that you have left them with. I am homeschooled, and I know it is expensive. Especially for more than one kid. Public school however is not directly paid for... the money is kinda stolen from us. DO NOT STEAL. The government hates competition ;) it's the truth. The ones who go to public schools should be the ones who are taxed for them, not the ones who don't use them.

  • @DanielFabrick - You consider your money STOLEN if you support public schools? Do you consider your money STOLEN if your taxes pay for prisons?

EVERYONE benefits from an educated population, even if you don't have children. Would you prefer children to be in school learning OR on the streets somewhere ready to rob you? The only places where public schools do not exist are in third world nations!

We seem to be becoming more and more shortsighted as a nation. Sad state.

  • I DO NOT support public schools, I do not support what they teach about origins, I do not support very much about them at all. I do not go to one, so why would I pay for other people to go to school and get a bad education (by bad I mean sometimes false or faulty). The part of money that is stolen from us is everywhere. Income taxes are illegal according to the constitution. A 2/3 majority is required for an amendment to become a part of the constitution. They claim to have gotten it.

  • @DanielFabrick - Funny that you consider income taxes illegal according to the Constitution, but would have no problem pushing your zealot religious beliefs onto the rest of us.

There should be a separation between church and state according to the Constitution as well. It is only crazy people who believe the world is only 6,000 years old and dinosaurs never existed. I feel sorry for children who have to be exposed to this type of false teachings.

  • No it's not funny at all that I consider income taxes illegal, it is what you would call a fact. A 2/3 majority is REQUIRED to amend the Constitution. The last two states that were said to have accepted it as law have no record whatsoever of it happening, which is not possible at all unless they never accepted it.

Oh and second of all, I am not pushing my religion on anyone.

  • @DanielFabrick - I have lived/traveled in many countries and can say those countries with a structured tax system and support across the country for every member are much better than societies that only take care of those who can pay for it.

You might want to live in a country that will only help you during a fire if you pay them upfront OR only want to live in a country where children whose parents can't afford school fees are never allowed to reach their full potentials.

    I don't.

  • This country was founded on Biblical principles and ever since man's ways have been incorporated into that, we have started going downhill, and this is evident throughout all of history. The national government was made in the light of God and the need for some sort of accountability to a "leader" if you will. It was not put there in separation from God. Public schools are funded by the government which is funded by tax payers. All the government wants is money. They are greedy.

  • Public schools should teach truth. Evolution is nowhere near this, it is not even a real theory, all theories must be developed by Observation and Experimenting, eventually coming up with an explanation. You cannot observe your so called evolution, evolution is a verb, nothing less. You must see it in action to even start. This is already a direct failure. You cannot experiment because no one lives long enough so you say. So really, it is junk science that should have no place in science.

  • @DanielFabrick . There is more proof in Evolution than there is proof that there is a God...but that doesn't bother you. You only believe in your religion because you were born where you were born...exposed to what you have been exposed to. If you had been born in India, Tibet, Saudi Arabia, etc., you'd probably be here expressing some other religious "truths."

If you need proof for everything, you should be an agnostic.

At least Evolution is called...a theory.

  • @DanielFabrick - It is also religious zealots who would deny that education to the masses, regardless of the income of the parent, is a basic requirement to enjoy anything that the Constitution has to offer!

How can you enjoy the ability to vote without having the ability to think critically?

How can you enjoy freedom of the press without being able to read?

How can you enjoy freedom of speech without being able to put together proper sentences?

  • You said:

"@DanielFabrick - It is also religious zealots who would deny that education to the masses, regardless of the income of the parent, is a basic requirement to enjoy anything that the Constitution has to offer!"

That and all of the rest of that comment is a logical fallacy.

  • Do you really need a public school teacher to learn how to read or think? Home school regardless of political or faith based underpinnings or a lack there of, is usually far better for children than the cinder block day jails run by the government.

  • @hogwartspta subscribe to TheRussianNihilist

  • @hogwartspta yes they can help your child to read and no they actually stop your child from thinking

  • But guess what. The last two states that were said to have accepted it, do not have any record of it in their state legislature. Which is absolutely impossible for something of that importance. They lied about the last two votes which put it into circulation and now much of our money goes to the federal government to spend on the most ridiculous stuff you could think of. Global warming... ect.

  • Very wrong statement Sir. No-one benefits from a falsely educated population. This is how we get people in office like Obama. The people in our country are so poorly educated that they fall for all the lies he everyday puts out. I would homeschool my children if I had the chance. I would do everything to keep them out of a public school. I will not have the United States Government raising my children for me.

  • @DanielFabrick - We've had many awful presidents and Obama is not on the list....yet. If you had said, Bush (AFTER AN 8 YEARS TRACK RECORD), I might agree with you.

The first problem starts with putting people into office who want to destroy the government! The same people who put such people into office are now complaining that the government doesn't work. The next time you want to blame Obama, look in the mirror, there is plenty to blame with the person who is staring back at you.

  • Obama is the worst so far. As of March 20, 2009 Obama had spent approximately $2,600,000,000,000. That is less than a half year into his presidency. So far Obama has spent about 15 Trillion dollars. Bush spend about 21 Trillion Dollars in all 8 years of being a president. (Though I agree, Bush was a horrible president as well) 4 years of Obama being president and he will have spent more than 50 Trillion dollars. Another 4 years if he gets re-elected (which I doubt because he is...

  • @DanielFabrick - If Bush had left everything at zero (or a surplus as when he started) at the end of his term, fix the banking mess, didn't cut taxes to the richest at the same time starting two expensive wars, ended those wars before he left office after 8 long years AND everything that Obama has spent would be the same, I might have agreed with you.

But, Obama is stuck with cleaning up Bush's mess and those who supported Bush have not even offered a broom to help...only criticism.

  • obamas an idiot

  • @sarsfieldusmc - LOL! It's really hard to take anyone who voted for George Bush TWICE seriously when they call anyone else an idiot.

Your "calling someone an idiot" card has been revoked.

  • well he is, and do u know i voted bush

  • ...a horrible president) he will have spent more than $110,000,000,000,000. That is 110 trillion dollars. What do you think about healthcare?

  • @DanielFabrick - It takes 5x more money to put a child in prison than to give him a good education. Regular checkups is a lot cheaper than emergencies with no insurance. Conservatives are a penny-wise and a dollar wasteful.

If the same people who are worried suddenly about a deficit hadn't been war-mongering to get us into Iraq or had complained that Bush was cutting taxes to the richest at the same time as escalating expensive wars, I might acknowledge their deficit issues.

  • You really need to learn how to spell. Haha.

  • In my high school there were alot of drugs, and parties. Most of the kids were nice but some acted like animals lol.

  • In some ways public school is good, in some ways it's bad. In some ways homeschool is good but in some ways it is bad.

  • LOL.

  • Ignorance? It's more ignorant to call a concept ignorant without ever studying it. BTW-in order for a hypothesis to be a true theory (i.e. Theory of Evolution), it has to be observed, which is not the case in evolution. Therefore, it cannot even be considered a theory, scientifically speaking. And for the PS system to totally forbid any discussion of any other possible explanations for human existence is the epitomy of brainwashing.

  • you really do need to read a book, there's no need to deny sciences greatest discovery evo. not one noted scientist refutes evo. so deal with it, you can't win this debate

  • DUDE, SHUTUP, it is not a 'fact'. honestly there is so much evidence AGAINST it. theres a termite that chews on wood but cant digest it. it has little critters in its intestins that digests the celulos. What one evolved first.....lol...

  • pruittsss brings up a wonderful point-you need to study the bombadier beetle. He actually shoots fire out of his back-side. I can't get into all the details here, but suffice it to say, that each one along the "evolution chain" would have blown himself up while trying to evolve...

  • We also wouldn't have any giraffes. Their brains would explode from the force of their heartbeat each time they bent down to take a drink of water, had they not had a God-given mechanism to temporarily suspend the heartbeats. How does THAT evolve? Each one would die trying... Evolution is ridiculous. If Darwin was right, so was Hitler.

  • lol MrMila... it looks like you have just constructively given up. Nice loss, your not fooling anybody.

  • Read Origin of Species. Darwin could not arrive at a definition for species. He spends half the book debating the question.

Most people who believe in evolution are confusing it with natural selection. Yes, we have bred a hundred kinds of dogs. But in the all the generations of selective breeding of dogs, we have never produced an animal that is not a canine.

Show us the proof on which you rest your certainty of evolution.

  • You don't have to be quiet at school. Just in class, but you can talk at lunch etc.

  • I personally think that children need socialization. There can be a balance between school and friends. Some homeschoolers (and I'm not stereotyping) all they do is get on the internet, or stay inside...and have no friends. And then people think they are weird. I think public or private school is better cause It teaches children to work harder and how to socialize properly. :)

  • at school u have to be quite and cant talk to friend except for at lunch. i drive to my firend house every day and hang out and "socialize" we both do online school. plus i play lots of xbox and i "socialize" with friend on xbox live.

  • We have some kids at my high school who were home schooled in elementary school. Some are weird and aren't very social. Most though are not because when they were home schooled they got together with other home schoolers for swim class and even get cheaper fares at Canada's Wonderland. I agree with what you have to say about kids and socialization.

  • Because socialization is all about learning how to relate to a group of 20-30 people all the exact same age as you, in a group where you are encouraged to distrust and ridicule adults. It's always best for kids to spend most of their time picking up life lessons from other children instead of various age groups and adults (who usually have more wisdom than the average child) who can offer more diverse experiences.

  • (I hope the sarcasm was obvious...)

  • i just looked at my nephews science book, it attempts to debunk evolution. That type of ignorance is just a little to much for me. I guess it shows the bottom line behind homescooling. End of story

  • In our local public schools, anyone who gets in a fight gets suspended--even if you didn't start it, even if you are only protecting yourself. It's called zero tolerance.

Yup, that sure is "real world" experience. Why just yesterday, my office mate punched me and when I defended myself, I got fired, too! (sense the sarcasem here).

  • Coolmom9-you just brought back memories from middle school!!

  • dont get mad but i am homeschooled and i socalize more and work harder than i did when i was in public school

  • What kind of socialization is it when you're mostly around 30 other people your same age and all learning from one person (or each other)? The jails are FULL of "socialized" people!!

  • Thanks for the info, it helps in our decision-making process. Our son has some sensory issues and is very distractible, so one-on-one teaching may be more beneficial than a typical school. Thank you and God bless!

  • Just ask yourself, "why do I think coercion is necessary?"

  • what do you think the impetus for homeschooling is, it's religion. Everyone I know who home schools is a bible thumper. So if homeschooling was propegated with religion in mind guess what

  • well i happen to be pagan and i homeschool my child! maybe you need to get out into the world a bit and quit generalizing everyone

  • are you denying most home schooling involves a religious background, pleeeeeeease

  • I put alot of love, time, and effort into raising my kids. Unlike other parents whos kids spend all day inffluenced by other kids, just to have a long bus ride home, and come home to an empty house till mommy or daddy gets off work.

  • Public school is not the "real" world! Where else can you get hit and if you hit back, you get punished, too? Where else are you kept in a room with only those of your own age and made to listen to other people's brainwashing? Where else are the grades (or bonuses or pay) that you rightfully earn pput on a "curve" to bring up the grade of the class? Get a life--public school is NOT real life!

  • AGREED! i love being homeschooled!

  • Yup, it certainly is the best of both worlds! Quality education and structured around your families needs and wants. We have gone to Egypt, India, and 48 of the states in the US. All during "schools hours". Planning on West Africa this year.

You can't tell me that studying about the pyramids at Giza is better than actually seeing them just because you didn't do it with 30 other skulls full of mush!

  • Magrff-what REAL WORLD do you know of where you only have to interact with a group of people your own age, where you are all thrown into the same exact molds and expected to achieve the same results? Cattle anyone?

  • how old is child cuz if there over 13 destroying there social life and odds are they must be a scardy cat kid or ur too over pretective

  • He has plenty of a social life that doesnt ONLY involve other 7 year olds but many people of all age groups like in REAL LIFE. We get out into the world more than other kids stuck in a class room all day. He's no scardy cat what he is though is amazingly polite and thoughtful. I find it amusing that people like you would worry more about parents that homeschool than worrying about the problems we have in our schools.

  • Magrff and riptor, I would agree with you in the sense that the majority of homeschoolers are religious. But the one thing that I am confused about, is that you say homeschoolers should be brought up in the "real world". This is a very biased statement, how do you know what the "real world" is? homeschoolers excel in every area statistically, they get jobs when there older, and they test much higher than public schoolers. Homeschooling is as or much better than public school will ever be.

  • You're right-your wonderful communication skills demonstrate that I'm messing up my 7 year old who is flying through the 4th grade. I'll remember about destroying her social life, too when we're at her basketball games, etc. Good point.

  • We homeschool because we want our children to be able to spell words like "propagate" and to learn that one must have facts based on research before making a statement on a subject rather than feeling validated in expressing any uneducated and idiotic opinion that crosses their minds.
