  • The balls shouldn't be made of marshmallow.

  • The black balls are bigger than the white balls!

But I don't know what's wrong with the video.

  • am i perverted for laughing at the top comment?

  • Its cause your using windows 95...

  • 意味わからん

  • If the balls touch it would be gay everyone.

  • nice red lightsaber wait thats your dilike bar

  • wHAT A NOOB

  • Press 9, thank me later

  • AHA,AHA of computer

  • theyres alot of gay ppl here. all talking about balls.

  • Why all the down ratings? The guy clearly stated that this is a failed experiment and is genuinly asking for help. Sheesh...

  • SO THEN WHY POST IT!???

  • The problem is we have come to the end times and the laws of what used to be the known universe no longer apply.

  • geek. 'nuff said

  • OMG i have no idea wtf you just said :)

  • u need less bally things for the Newton's cradle to work!!!

  • BALLS TO YOU or should i say GHOST BALLS TO YOU

  • TOUCH THOSE BALLS

  • 11 seconds of my has now gone to waste

  • they dont need to touch rofl!!!!, they need to HIT one another to transfer energy, the reason they are together, is so the MIDDLE balls dont move, but simply pass that energy directly to the end ball. even spaced apart as long as one can hit the other like me punching your dumbass face, your head will go through the wall, and the brick will fly out the other end hitting your grandmother. learn physics b4 commenting :P

  • Your response made me laugh! It's perfect!

  • @janjaso smart one in order to transfer the kinetic energy, without dissipating, the balls need to be touching.

  • the vid is shit ! thumbs down for it

  • The balls are inert.

  • Just use a somthign like autodesk inventor instead of trying to write a program from scratch...

  • lol

  • the hinge balls are too big, and Newtons balls are too small

  • @maybryn prob higher elasticity too. that makes them bouncier.

  • @humanidt that also

  • YOU ARE THE MOST SMARTEST PERSON IN THE WORLD THE BALLS ARENT TOUCHING...(that sounded wrong.)

  • @FlnalCountdown you have never used reactor, so shut up. the collision tollerance for the balls is so high that you can see it. so in your terms, you are the most smartest person in the world.

  • @FlnalCountdown Balls doesnt need to touch in 3d max... He set an ofset value so balls are bigger then they look

  • @FlnalCountdown smartest not most smartest retard

  • @FlnalCountdown You are so stupid, this is a computer program and you say the balls arent touching... Do you think he doesnt know? Are you fucking retarded? Everyone saying what it is wrong, the guy working in this program is a very smart guy, and all you assholes think you know what's going on.. Man please don't answer, you are so stupid!

  • You need to program phyics into it

  • LLLMMFFFFAAAAOOOOOOO.

  • ur not doing anything wrong. just do it in real life.

  • wow ggggggggggaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy

  • waow

  • They need to be solid steel not hollow foamy rubber

  • Nice conservation of momentum there, asshole.

  • lololololol!!!

  • FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Put the balls together....+ my balls too/first.......

  • Two things:

1: The balls all have to be touching.

2: Are you sure Reactor is advanced enough for this? Collisions are one thing, but accurate elastic behavior and/or shockwave perpetuation simulation are quite complicated.

First, just try to get this working with two balls. The more complicated the model is, the more likely it is that some stupid bug is corrupting the sim. If two works, add a third, etcetera, etcetera, until you get to five.

  • @JoeTheBiochemist

That is the most relevant info for the situation i have. I know they have to touch, it was a question more about a reactor problem. I guess I was to vague on the question? For everyone else...

  • oooooo.kkkkkkk

  • From the balls' options for reactor...choose it to be a bounding sphere not box

  • all the balls need to be touching

  • @DaLobsta

be that as it may, it would also sound gay.

  • @DaLobsta hot.

  • @DaLobsta it's not g4y if balls don't... oh..

  • how do you make an actual newtons cradle??

  • you cant only factories vcan make them unless you are extremely talented

  • @mynameisthonmoy5726 sting marbles and a metal cube. Or get one at argos for £9.99

  • The top balls need to be smaller than the bottom balls so they can touch each other. Touching results in transfer of energy, which causes the ball on the other side to move. Just shrink the top balls smaller than the bottom balls, or enlarge the bottom balls larger than the top balls. You can see a real Newton's Cradle to get an idea. You can put in as many balls as you wish (even 1000 if you have enough time) just as long as the top balls are all the same size and smaller than the bottom.

  • dude lol. the top black balls need to be smaller. reason why i say this is because the middle balls have to be touching. if u dont do anything, all balls should be touching each other so that the energy can be transfered.

  • Have you got all their weights/mass the same or do you have any of them marked as unyielding? Sorry, thats all i can think of, i'm new to 3dsmax as well.
