a use a cable that converts stereo photo audio into a 3.5mm jack, that plugs into the "line in2 on my pc sound card. hence, better audio :)

yes. unfortunately my sound card took processed the audio faster than the easycap could record the video so I had to adjust it slightly in the editing. It wasn't too much trouble but it might gett annoying if you had a lot of individual clips.

Hey man not sure if you could support me on this but I am wondering what exactly is the FPS when using DV Encoder? And how exactly did you compress it with H 264, I can't do it in Debut program so what do you recommend?

The FPS depend on where you live. If you're in an NTSC region it's 29.97 and if you're in a PAL region its 25.

For this video I used Adobe Premier to convert it but you could use anything. Like SUPER for example

Yes but, I am having issues, I can only use a select number of compressors for some reasons, mostly all of them give me low fps like 15. DV Encoder records at 20 fps. And so meaning if I where to convert that to 30 fps it would be like fake boobs because your skipping 10 frames. IYUV gives me full 30 fps for some reason. Can you plz help me.

Some programs aren't great at capturing to certain formats and might not offer you a high frame rate or resolution. If you always record in AVI with the compressor IYUV or YUY2 then you should get the right options.

And no, I didn't use the resize too in debut, and just left the FPS at 29.97

Sorry I meant the component lead, not just the RGB cables but the whole lot. You are supposed to connect up the red yellow and white to the EasyCAP : )

To record in PAL 60 with colour you must have an EasyCAP DC60+ v3.1b

The other EasyCAPs don't support it. The best way to tell which one you have is to look at what the computer calls it. If it supports PAL 60 it will be called "USB 2861 Device" and if it doesn't support PAL 60 then it will be called "SYNTEK 1150" or "SYNTEK 1160"

You should have received ULead Video Studio with the EasyCAP, that works really well for recording.

And yep, the red white and yellow cables are the ones you want

hey I can't seem to get the Debut Video Capture Software to record sound. I put excatly the same settings as you. The ULEAD software records the sound but not Debut. Any suggestions?

Debut doesn't support the sound driver for the EasyCAP DC60+ so I used a "Double Phono to 3.5mm Jack" cable to convert the red and white cable from the xbox into a headphone-type plug that goes into the line-in on your PC. I know its annoying so I would recommend just capturing with ULead for now as I'm working on creating a program to capture with.

ulead works fine for me, only problem is that when I capture the video in the AVI format, whilst capturing the vid it goes incredibly slow :(

what I do is capture it in the DVD format, then convert it in the prism video converter :P

it won't be the same as capturing in AVI. The dvd format uses MPEG which is a lower quality than AVI, and if you then convert it to AVI it won't make the quality any better. If it's slow trying to capture AVI then your PC is probobly too slow to handle it.

Program i use ulead videostudio 10 DVD SE to capture i connected my EasyCAP DC60+ Setup- xbox360>A/VSplitters(ForMyTV)>­A/Vcables>EasyCAP Settings - - Capture device: USB 2861 - Capture format: AVI - Video Standard: NTSC (my 360 is PAL) - Region select: NTSC_433 (you must have an EasyCAP DC60+ to get this option) - Video compressor: DV Encoder NTSC - Sound compressor: DV Audio (48000 Hz - Stereo) is it true that you cant capture Audio in Videostudio X2 Trial please reply im getting desperate

I don't know about the trial, just use the ULead that come on the disk, it should have a serial with it to activate the full version. Those settings are just copied and pasted from the video description, that's not bad but they were with a different program. In ULead you don't get an option for "DV Encoder NTSC". You need to use Debut Video Capture for that.

yea that one's quite hard. Focus on producing as many scorpions as you can, these wll be really useful at clearing the sites. Once you discover the first pylon set the gremlin next to it and it ads 5 min to you timer. Next, build another gremlin from the base and send that off around the map to find more. There are 4 in total. Also, don't forget your cryo bomb, its really good against the flood swarms.

Just use the settings I have in the description. The main thing when capturing is that you record in AVI and make sure the resolution is set to 720x480. This should get great quality from the xbox.

Ok I replied to this hours ago but the comment isn't here for some reason so I'll write it again. Debut doesn't detect the audio device for the DC60+ so I had to use a "Composite Audio to 3.5mm Stero Jack" lead so I could convert the red and white leads into one that plugs into the "Line In" on my PC. Then in the options of Debut you can tell it to use the "Line In" for the audio.

I actually understood that... I think. The software can't record audio unless you get a special jack that converts the red and white audio cables into something that the computer can use as input. Then you set the audio options to that input. Am I correct?
