actually your car is a worse polluter than a diesel tractor pumping our that much black smoke. its just hydrocarbons, and depending on the tractor under 1000 ppm of CO. measure your cars CO.

@JSRmontcalm - I suspect that the effects of hydrocarbons in the atmosphere would have a much more detrimental effect than carbon monoxide, which is eventually oxidised to carbon dioxide. I think if we all breathed carbon particles, sulphur oxides and the like from that tractor exhaust, we'd all be in trouble. No?

@JSRmontcalm CO is not a harmful emission. It readily combines with oxygen to form harmless CO2.
